Daisy is an amazing female shar-pei, who grew up with a family that socialized her with other dogs, kids and even cats. She is used to hanging out with the family. Sadly, the family lost their housing and Daisy is looking for a family that she can have more fun with. Daisy is described as playful, energetic, friendly and affectionate, but she can also be quiet, shy and nervous. She was used to sleeping on the bed, but would adjust to a dog bed if needed. She has been to the dog park, does pull a little on the leash (her last vet appointment clocked her at 33 pounds so may be manageable), and knows how to use a dog door. She isn't a fan of mailmen and would prefer to walk over car rides. She isn't a jump over the gate/fence, doesn't counter surf for human food, isn't a digger and only barks at people at front door...practically perfect! Rolls is an amazing 35 pound cuddle bug! She can be around other dogs, but would be best as an only dog as she can be an alpha. She is great with cats and kids!! Rolls is spayed, up to date on vaccines, is microchipped and is ready to go. She likes toys, isnt a huge fan of crates, and does have some separation anxiety (barking and scrarching) so would love to go along on activities or have someone who is home quite a bit. She walks well on a leash and greets strangers nicely. Mostly, she wants to cuddle. Her foster mom says she hasn't heard barking yet (probably because she is showered with love and attention). She loves to walk around with a stuffed toys when she get excited. If you are looking to spend time with and spoil this princess (named after Rolls Royce brand), she is waiting for you! Meet Opal, a young female Boxer with a heart as big as her journey! Opal's story began on the streets of Tijuana, where a heartbreaking picture of her Emaciated and covered in ticks found its way to us. Homeless and struggling, we knew we had to bring her to safety. Once here, we immediately took her to the vet for bloodwork and a 4DX test to check for any tick-borne diseases. Everything came back negative, and her blood work is perfectly normal! We were thrilled! Fast forward a couple months, Opal was on medical status as we worked on slowly gaining weight and building her strength. During her Spay appt, she almost died on the table and it was found that she did in fact contract 2 Tickborne Diseases! She had contracted Erlichia and Anaplasmosis. We cured the tickborne diseases and her blood platelets were damaged. So she has been battling Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia, going every two weeks for routine blood draws and medicine. During the vet visits, we also discovered that Opal is deaf, but that doesn't stop her from being the sweetest, most affectionate dog. She adores being with her humans and thinks she's a lap dog-she'll cuddle up with you any chance she gets! Opal is looking for a loving home where her new family will enjoy her goofy loving personality!
