DaphneFemaleSharpei MixDOB: 12/18/26Adoption Fee: $225Daphne is a sweet pup with a soft heart and an even softer coat. She's still discovering the world around her, but one thing is already clear- she's ready to find a family to call her own. Like any puppy, Daphne is in that fun stage of learning, growing, and soaking up everything life has to offer her. She'll need a home that's excited about puppy training, playtime, and all the sweet snuggles that come with raising a little one. Whether she grows into your hiking buddy, couch companion, or playful sidekick, Daphne has so much potential just waiting to blossom. All she needs is someone willing to help her become the amazing dog she's meant to be. If you're ready for puppy kisses, tiny tail wags, and a lifetime of love- Daphne might just be your girl! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Meet Sharpie, a sweet senior gentleman with an easygoing personality and wonderful manners. This well-mannered boy enjoys taking life at his own pace and would love a home where he can relax, explore, and enjoy the simple things.

Sharpie is easy to leash up and enjoys leisurely walks where he can take in all the sights and smells around him. Once hes gotten his sniffs out and finished exploring his environment, he happily comes over for pets and affection. He has a calm, gentle presence that makes spending time with him so enjoyable.

He likes toys too, though hes not overly playful with them - more of a casual toy enthusiast than a wild zoomies kind of guy. Sharpie has also done well around other dogs, showing himself to be a polite and easy companion.

This sweet senior boy is ready to find a loving home where he can enjoy cozy days, gentle adventures, and plenty of affection from his people.

Story
Harley was originally at a home with 8 other pups in Senoia back in 2024. Her momma was a red shepherd mix and her dad was a black and white Pitbull although she looks like she has Shar Pei in her to us. Her home had burned down and the mom and pups were still living there in a fenced in yard with a dog house. She was adopted by two-preteen girls but once they grew up and moved away and had children of their own their father no longer wanted Harley at the house. ##1941454##

Story
Daisy is ready for her next chapter! -3 years old (est.) -62 pounds -Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped -Very dog friendly -Potty trained -Shy, derpy, goofy, innocent, playful, preciously sweet and lovely PERSONALITY: Daisy is such a beautifully innocent soul. Though very very shy at first, there is not a mean bone in her body. She is goofy and derpy like a boxer when she warms up. She is true innocent bliss mixed with derpy goofball. Daisy just needs someone to give her grace and a little time to settle in, warm up so they can see her true beautiful personality too. FAV THINGS: Daisy enjoys playing with dogs, collecting nylabones in her dog bed (she's topped out at around 20), stealing slippers or shoes if the opportunity presents (oopsies- she's learning), seeking gentle affection from her people, and playing with her people in the yard. DOGS: Daisy best thrives with another dog in the home. She really, really enjoys their companionship and comfort, and follows their lead for confidence. She also *loves* playing with other playful dogs. She has done beautifully with every dog she has met from dominant/alpha female type, to submissive playful, from a 14lb dog to a 70lb dog. CATS: Unknown. Daisy has not met cats, besides out free with ferals cats at the gym when she was living there. If we were a betting man..... we'd probably bet a kitty swat would send Daisy running for the hills. That is 0% tried and tested. She has NO cat experiences to speak on with us. Daisy is just so uber submissive, absolutely zero observed prey drive, and liable to be afraid of her own shadow we just cant see her not being put in her place by a cat. The only way to know though is slow and proper intros over time living with them. KIDS: No kid experience, though probably best only older kids as she is so shy at first and such a flight risk. TRAINING: Potty trained HISTORY: Daisy lived in the parking lot of a gym from around March 2025 until capture January 2026. Everyone cared for her and loved her, she was basically the gym mascot its just that no one could catch her. No owner ever came forward and her history prior to the gym remains a mystery. NOTE: Daisy will be a FLIGHT RISK starting off. Daisy avoided capture for several months and it is not likely she could be caught again if she escaped. Basic precautionary measures must be taken to ensure she stays safe e.g. not leaving unattended in a yard, watching doors/gates, etc. Simple things that are the difference sometimes in a pet going missing or not. LOCATION: Currently in foster in Jackson, GA. We do a home check with all fosters/adopters, so no need to travel, we will come to you within 2 hours. AVAILABILITY: Available for adoption or foster-to-adopt (FTA). FTA is a 2 week commitment-free trial run to make sure things are a fit before sealing the deal and officially adopting. ADOPTION FEE: $150 APPLY TO ADOPT: joyspromise.org/adopt P.S.- If you aren't looking to adopt right now, but still want to help, consider fostering Daisy! Fostering Daisy would expand her socialization and exposure, which would be greatly beneficial to her at this point. Foster: joyspromise.org/foster -- Note: If you are interested in adopting, please COMPLETE AN APPLICATION THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. Inquiries on adoption sites is not an application. Your inquiry will not be seen until you complete an actual application at joyspromise.org/adopt
