Story
Introducing King, a remarkable 2.5 year-old Shar-Pei/American Staffordshire mix who is eagerly seeking his forever family. King is a stunning 70-pound canine, and while his size might be impressive, his heart is even more so. With a love for play, basking in the sun, and a fondness for treats, King is the perfect addition to any loving household. Despite his size, King is as gentle as they come. His deep, soulful eyes reveal a sweet and loving nature that is sure to melt your heart. This 2.4 year-old pup is full of life and always up for an adventure. He adores playtime and will bound around with infectious joy when given the chance. Fetch, tug-of-war, or simply chasing a ball in the yard are some of King's favorite activities. His boundless energy and love for play make him an excellent companion for active individuals or families. One of King's most cherished pastimes is lounging in the sun. Whether it's in a cozy corner of the backyard or on the porch, he'll soak up the warmth and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. And let's not forget his affinity for treats. King's eyes light up with anticipation when it's treat time, and he'll perform tricks or simply flash his charming smile to earn an extra reward. His eagerness to please and his love for treats make him a delightful dog to train and spend time with. While we haven't had the opportunity to assess how King is with other dogs, he has never shown any aggression. In fact, his friendly demeanor suggests that he might get along well with other canine companions, although he can be a bit overwhelming for some dogs, so a submissive dog would be best. In addition to his wonderful qualities, King has a dedicated volunteer who comes weekly to work on basic commands and leash manners. He's responding remarkably well to this training, showing his intelligence and willingness to learn, making him an even better companion. King is the kind of companion who will be your loyal and loving sidekick through life's adventures. If you're seeking a dog that combines strength with a gentle spirit, King is the perfect match. Contact our adoption center today to meet this extraordinary Shar-Pei/American Staffordshire mix and discover the love, play, and sunny moments he can bring to your life. Don't miss the chance to make King a cherished member of your family and experience the true meaning of unconditional love. If you are interested in learning more about me, please put in an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. We are open for adoptions Tuesday through Saturday. With all my love and doggy kisses, King!

Benny is an amazing dog! He loves to play fetch and play with other dogs. He’s obedient and is crate trained. He’s great with kids and our other 2 dogs. We would love to keep him but we just had a baby and don’t have the bandwidth for 3 dogs and 2 babies. Benny would be great for a family that already has a dog and some older kids.

Story
Let’s get ready to RUMBLE!  In this corner, weighing in at 42 pounds, is Lexie Grace, a Boxer mix. She’s an almost 7-year-old sweetheart who is mellow, potty trained, and somewhat shy.  This girl is looking for a family to shower her with love while she chills on the couch!     Lexie Grace is a little fearful of new things, but she is very lovable.  Lexie Grace enjoys her walks but may need some coaxing as she is easily frightened.  Inside the home, she’s a calm girl who sleeps in her bed at night, which is great because she’s not a fan of the crate.       Like all dogs, she gets the occasional zoomies and shows real personality.  Lexie Grace is not much of a cuddler, and she doesn’t demand you pet her.  She is an independent gal.  And there is no need to fill the toy box; she prefers a soft place to relax much more than toys!        Lexie Grace is a little quirky – she likes to hide under furniture during thunderstorms and fireworks. She gets along with some dogs, but not others.  Lexie Grace needs a low-key and patient family to love her, roll with her quirks, and let her be the independent and lazy dog she likes to be.     Maybe that family is yours?     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue. *Some of our animals receive a high volume of applications, and we strive to select the best home for each animal. Story
What's not to love about me? I'm cute, petite, a super snuggler and I heard some guy named Rick wrote a song about me!!! I'm Jessie Girl. They say I'm a boxer mix, but I'm not even 40 pounds. Fommy thinks I might have some Boston terrier in me, which might explain my high prey drive. I love my 4 legged family members in my foster home, but they should probably not be in a farm setting. Also, no cats or rabbits, please. I'm a super snuggler who loves to be under the covers - and that's any covers; I'm not picky, but I especially love to be under yours so I can be all warm and cozy. I'm house-trained and crate-trained. What I don't do well is walk on a leash. I would need lots of patience and training. I can act very crazy and unruly while on walks, and even scream a bit because I'm over-excited, so teaching me how to redirect/refocus would be my number one priority. I would rather have a home that has a nice, secure,  tall fence. That way I won't get the crazies.   I'm just a simple family girl out here looking for her forever life. If that might be you, let's meet to see!     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Please ensure you understand those restrictions prior to choosing a dog. We verify rental policies and adhere to any restrictions.           May 12, 2024, 5:15 am

Story
So many famous Admirals in history, but first and foremost is me - I'm a famous Admiral! Meet Admiral, a neutered 8-year-old (12/13/2013) super energetic Boxer/Mountain Cur mix. He is lean and athletic and loves running and could probably command a naval fleet if needed.  Admiral will make the perfect companion for an active family.    Admiral is house and crate-trained and comes with a special escape-proof crate.  As a famous Admiral, he does need a fenced yard to run off his excess energy.  And a dog companion who likes to play and is around Admiral's size makes it easy to help this energetic guy settle down Admiral loves other dogs, playing, wrestling, chasing, and being chased. This handsome senior guy is ready for his own home where he gets lots of attention, play, and just being active! Just look at that goofy smile.
