Story
Sweet Hadassah!! I call her Haddie. I adopted her from Lifeline February 24, 2025. I love her and am devastated to rehome her. She needs to be an only dog or a dog with one other dog. I provide hospice care for dying dogs and board a few dogs in my home. Haddie is the greeter and loves dogs coming to visit but two weeks ago she started showing signs of resource guarding around food. This is new behavior that I have not seen for three months; I cannot trust her now with dogs that have special needs, are dying and/or boarding with me for health or training. I am hopeful to find a home where Haddie will be loved. She is so sweet and loves to give kisses, ride with me in the van everywhere I go, our daily walks and helping me feed and gather eggs from the hens. She has become my best friend; I will miss her terribly. She is very smart. When she first arrived, I worked with her daily teaching her basic obedience. She learned very quickly and is eager to please. Please give Haddie a chance!!

Story
Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home.  I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk, but I would be better in a home without dogs, cats and small children. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. I'd love to meet and get to know you.   Apply to adopt me at www. angelsrescue.org/adopt and search for me, Cylana! Make a donation in this dog's name at http://www.angelsrescue.org/donate. Story
This precious boy is Tank! He arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on 6/6, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. Tank has been very, very shy in the shelter. The shelter is a loud, overwhelming place for many dogs, so we're not surprised he is worried. The volunteers describe him as very sweet despite his shyness. He is a good boy; quiet in his kennel, and he sits nicely when asked. If you have a soft spot for the shy kids, please come meet Tank! Tank is approximately 6 years old and weighs 49 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Tank is waiting patiently in run 827; his ID # is 10663. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Nova is a boxer mix that I adopted from a shelter in the Atlanta area. I’ve had her since she was 3 months old. She is super sweet and has a ton of energy. Nova loves to play and also love to sunbathe. Does well with other dogs but must be acclimated first. She is a family dog and does well with children. Unfortunately I am no longer in the position care for Nova. I really need to get her into a loving home as soon as possible as I don’t have the means to feed her anymore or to train her properly.

Story
Meet Cooper. He is a playful 3 year old boxer who loves to be around people and other dogs. He was adopted as a young puppy and loved so much by an elderly gentleman until his untimely passing. Currently, Cooper is living with the daughter of his previous owner, but with 4 dogs of her own, there isn't enough room for a permanent 5th. Now, he is in need of a new home with people who will love him and take care of him. He graduated obedience school 2 years ago, loves long walks, playing fetch, snuggles, and is super friendly to all he meets.
