Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. My foster mom calls me Cici, and I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home. I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, I will hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm a ten-year-old Shar Pei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children but my foster mom thinks I shouldn't share my home with children under the age of 13-15. He came out of the shelter with a bad skin infection which has resolved for the most part, but he does still have some allergies that we are trying to identify (we think he may have a chicken allergy and/or a grass allergy, but so far this has been managed with a fish-based diet and occasional baths with medicated shampoo). He also has a knee issue for which he will be getting surgery this summer (at the rescue's expense). He is available for adoption in the meantime provided the adopter is able to adhere to recovery protocol after his surgery.
