Patty Melt is a lovable, 3-year-old Shar Pei/Lab mix with the most endearing wrinkled face! Weighing in at 35 pounds, she is still working on gaining some healthy weight but is expected to stay within the medium size range once fully filled out.This sweet girl is house-trained (has never had an accident indoors) and is working on crate training. She is friendly with other dogs and enjoys their company but hasn’t had the chance to meet any cats yet. While she hasn’t been introduced to children, she has a gentle and calm demeanor and has been friendly with everyone she’s met so far.Patty has a unique, adorable personality that will quickly win you over. She is a quiet companion who loves being close to her people without being overly demanding. She enjoys curling up at your feet, following you around to see what you’re up to, and sneaking onto the couch to lean against you. She’s a big “leaner” and will happily rest against you for comfort. One of her cutest quirks is how she falls asleep almost instantly—sometimes in the funniest positions! Patty came from a tough past—she was abandoned and malnourished, which has made her a bit cautious with food. She sometimes needs encouragement to eat and is picky about treats. Due to her past, she also experiences some separation anxiety. While she doesn’t destroy anything when left alone, she will whine and howl, jumping from furniture to windows in hopes of seeing you return. She is improving, but she would thrive in a home where her humans can see her periodically throughout the day.Despite her initial shyness, Patty has adjusted well to her foster home and loves being with her people. She enjoys walks, chasing squirrels, and playing with her beloved stuffed bear. She can entertain herself but also loves interactive play and may even learn to fetch with a little encouragement. While she doesn’t need a fenced yard, an active owner who takes her on hikes and/or adventures would be ideal.Overall, Patty Melt is a sweet, chill, and affectionate girl who just wants to be loved. She has so much love to give in return and is looking for a patient, caring forever home that will help her continue to gain confidence and feel secure. Marlee is a fun name for a fun gal! I was living my life and having some fun, except no one got me "fixed" so the fun ended up with me being a single mother with 6 hungry mouths to feed!!! Who thinks that their fun will lead to months of feeding and my milk producers dragging on the ground :( I sure didn't... However, I LOVE MY BABIES!!! Now that they are on their own in foster homes, that is :) I am a fun gal, I love to play with my friends and I am great with other playful and fun dogs. I am a climber and a jumper so it may be why I was out playing in the first place.... but I digress... I am happy and sweet and I have the gorgeous soft, PLENTIFUL muzzle of a Shar Pei, with the energy of a lab or shepherd or who knows what other breed I am. WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Who's better than the rest-y? That's right, it's me, Betsy! I am a cool Chinese Shar-Pei mixed female with a Tuxedo colored coat and white socks! My facial features even have a cool black and white coloring to them too! I was rescued from a bad hoarding situation alongside my siblings, thing's weren't looking good for us. But our big-hearted rescuers saved us and got us on the road to better care and living great lives! Betsy likes to chew on big bones, occasionally wiggle her ears around, and bark at squirrels. Now we're on our way to finding our forever homes. Learning how to socialize with other dogs, take walks, and play fetch with a ball. Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! She is young and busy, but she is quick to offer you her belly for rubs. She does best with dogs similar to her size. She prefers to be in an adult only home. Malibu spent several months living in a shelter and it has taken some  time to acclimate back to living in a home. Malibu loves to go on walks and does great with loose leash walking with someone that will give gentle reminders. She loves being outside and playing chase with her foster brother. Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m a 6-month-old mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the goodest boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups.   I’ve been polite around cats and can happily share a home with them. I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a quieter home without kids, as loud noises make me anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and have a funny habit of pulling all of them out of my toy bin and bringing them to my spot on the couch—my foster mom says it’s the cutest thing ever!   If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup. Meet Avery!  Avery traveled with her siblings from North Carolina after the hurricane. She was born in late August and we believe she is a  Mountain Cur/Boxer mix. Avery is full of puppy energy and loves to give puppy kisses. Avery loves her food but isn't possessive. She is learning to go outside to do her business and is using the doggy door. Going in her kennel can be hard but will settle down after a little bit of whining. She is sleeping almost through the night as well.  She is starting to explore more and gaining her confidence.  Avery got along with other dogs at her first foster home. Currently, there are cats but they don't like puppies. Avery checks them out and is learning to give them space. Avery loves kids and is trying to figure out that they are not puppies. She loves toys and is constantly finding things to play with. She loves interactive/brain toys.  If you're an active person who enjoys exploring, Avery would be the perfect companion to join you on your journeys.
