You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Look at little Louie! Could he be any cuter!? Louie is about 5 months old, and he weighs about 20-25 pounds. He was rescued from a home up North that was basically keeping him outside. But his new owner resident dog is not accepting him. Louie is friendly, happy, a sweet little guy that has lived with other dogs, cats and kids under 5 years old even. We were told his mother may have been a Bulldog/Boxer mix? And dad may have been a pitbull bulldog mix? Mother is more certain. He is on the road to being housetrained but still in the process of nailing it. Would someone out there like to foster little Louie? Or interested in adopting? Story
Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on.    If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup. I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:   $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 4:11 pm

Story
Amy is a sweet, soulful 2-year-old Boxer/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. Most of the time, she’s an absolute love—affectionate, attentive, and happiest when she’s cuddled up with her people (or soaking in some quiet companionship).   Amy can be a bit timid and startles easily, as she’s very alert and aware of her surroundings. Because of that, she sometimes needs space when she’s feeling overwhelmed. While she enjoys playing and cuddling with other dogs, she can occasionally snap if she’s had enough.   She’s fully potty trained, listens very well, and already knows her sit and stay commands. Amy is also a fantastic walking buddy and absolutely loves going for car rides—she’s always ready to be your co-pilot.   Amy would do best with a patient, understanding family who can give her a calm environment, clear boundaries, and lots of love. In return, she’ll reward you with loyalty, snuggles, and a deep, genuine bond.   If you’re looking for a devoted companion who just wants to feel safe and loved, Amy may be your perfect match.      Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Age: 2 years Weight: 53 pounds Dog friendly: Yes, slow introductions please Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Not yet, but stays happily on the bed when home alone. ***Fence required in most situations*** Adoption fee: $395 Boy do we love this dog! He is the classic "wiggle-butt-pittie" that loves his people so much! He loves to lay by our side maintaining body contact as much as possible. Ike is a good boy that came from a Missouri animal control shelter in March. He came straight to our home and lives with 4 other dogs and a cat -- no problem! We are working on meeting other dogs in public places. He needs slow introductions so he’s not a great dog for breweries or dog parks... just yet. We have tried a couple different crates, but find him roaming free in the house when we return, lol. He is definitely skilled at escaping a crate. He does best being left to lay on the bed while we are gone. Ike’s favorite things are going for a car ride, playing fetch, and laying by his people. You might even find yourself becoming his favorite pillow on the couch! Ike is a strong dog and would benefit from training to walk on a leash without pulling -- like we said, he's strong! If there is no fence, training is a must as well as commitment to follow through. But believe us when we say, he's worth it! Ike just loves all people! Apply today to meet this wonderful guy.

Looking for a furry friend who's the perfect blend of sweet and playful? Look no further, because Otis is here to steal your heart! This charming pup is all about spreading love and joy wherever he goes. With his heart-melting puppy eyes, Otis is the definition of adorable. His favorite activities include snuggling up and belly rubs – he's a certified cuddle champion! But don't let his love for relaxation fool you – Otis is also quite the adventurer! He's always up for a good game of fetch with his favorite toys or exploring the great outdoors on his daily walks. Sure, he might need a bit of leash training (he's just too excited to see the world!), but with a little patience and some positive reinforcement, he'll be walking like a pro in no time. When it comes to making friends, Otis might start off a bit shy, but once he gets to know you, he'll be your loyal companion for life. One thing's for sure – Otis knows the way to his heart, and that's through his stomach! He's incredibly food motivated, making him the perfect candidate for fun training sessions. Plus, he's learning the ropes of toy reward training, so you can bet he'll be showing off his tricks in no time. Age: 3 yr Weight: 51 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Does well being left loose in the home Adoption fee: $325 Meet Zena! Zena is a 3‑year‑old pit bull/bully mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This affectionate, loyal girl will surprise you with her wit, athleticism, and curiosity. She loves to swim (yes, really!), go for walks, ride in the car (she’s handled several road trips!), and romp around with other pups at the dog park. Zena also enjoys snuggling up with her human(s), napping with a bone, and watching the world go by through the windows of her home. Playful and bright, Zena loves learning new things - especially when treats are involved. She’s always up for fun and adventure, whether joining you on a hike or curling up beside you after a long day. She’s at her best when she can roam freely around the house. Zena alternates between sleeping with her human(s) and curling up on the couch or in her own bed. She has a history of separation anxiety, but since starting the right medication and working with a behaviorist, she’s improved immensely. Zena needs slow introductions - with plenty of treats - when strangers enter the home (she’s comfortable meeting new people in public). She may be nervous at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and form a deep, trusting bond. Her new family will also receive support from her behaviorist during the transition to her new home. Zena is an adaptable, loving companion who’s ready to share her enthusiasm and affection with a family that will cherish her playful spirit and loyal heart.
