Overflowing with gentle yet funny personality, Rye is amazing. He had a really (really) hard life before rescue and he is just appreciative of the safety and love he has found in rescue (see his "before" pic). Rye is a Sharpei mix and weighs about 60 pounds. His age is a mystery. He has the teeth of a 2 to 3 year old but early xrays show images of an older dog with arthritis. Rye was a hot mess when he first came to rescue: starving, a leg with an old break, pneumonia, mange, infection...and Basal Cell Cancer (the best kind of cancer there is). Xrays show that he has also been shot. Yet, he loves. Everyone. Rye is a favorite wherever he goes, loved by people and dogs. He just has a great temperament. If you meet him, you'll love him too!! She has been with us for 560+ days and that's too many days too many! I mean, whats a girl gotta do to get some attention around here?? She loves everyone and everything. She deserves the world. She deserves a place to crash her head at night that is soft and cool. She deserves to have a family to call her own that she will make smile and laugh with her goofy ways.
