Meet Chip, a shy and loving 3 year old Boxer/Border Collie mix with a heart of gold. He is a handsome black and white boy with big warm brown eyes and a soft, expressive face. Hes a happy guy, lookingcto his person for approval. Chip is a gentle soul who can be timid at first when meeting new people. He prefers to take his time getting to know someone new, and may retreat if he feels uncomfortable or overwhelmed. But once he feels safe and secure in his surroundings, he is a loyal and affectionate companion who loves nothing more than getting pets and love. Chip is a medium-sized dog who has a calmer energy level and is dog friendly without being overwhelming. Chip is also a good listener, and he responds well to positive reinforcement training techniques. With his gentle and loving nature, Chip would do well in a calm and stable home environment where he can feel safe and secure. He LOVES having access to his kennel which is where he goes to rest or decompress. Overall, Chip is a sweet and affectionate dog who would make a loyal and loving companion for the right person. Story
Update 12.5.25 Meet Zelia the Boxer “Queen of the sneaky yard decorations” Greek Origin: This meaning is associated with passion, energy, and a fervent approach to life.   Hebrew Origin: In Hebrew, Zelia, meaning "my God is my strength" or "heavenly". It represents spiritual strength and a connection to the divine.   French: A short form of Zélie, meaning solemn, or related to the flower Azalea.   Passion, energy, determination, and spiritual strength   Hi there! My name is Zelia. I’m about 9 months old, which means I’m still figuring out this big, exciting world—but I’ve already mastered the art of snuggles.   My Best Qualities according to my foster dad,  • Sweet as sugar and smart as a whip • Professional cuddle buddy (I take my job very seriously) • Great playmate for big dogs (like my foster sister Zarah. She is a boxer too) and little ones—yes, even my foster brother the tiny Morkie named Zander in my foster home! • Curious explorer with a touch of mischief (I may or may not sneak things out the doggie door and stash them in the yard… consider it my version of “yard art”)   My Personality   I’m gentle and loving, but I can be a little shy when meeting new people or seeing new things. If you move slowly and kindly, I’ll warm up quickly and show you my goofy, affectionate side. Once I trust you, you’ll have a loyal shadow who wants nothing more than to be near you.   My Dream Home   I’d love a family who appreciates my sweetness, gives me patience when I feel skittish, and laughs at my silly quirks. In return, I promise endless snuggles, puppy kisses, and the joy of watching me grow into the amazing Boxer I’m destined to be.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2025, 9:13 am

Story
NEW TO RESCUE: I'm super smart and eager to learn. Give be a job and let me earn my keep! I have a lot of energy which I like to expend in the yard playing chase, jumping, or wrestling with my brother. I like to cuddle, but don't care for being held. I'm ok with the cats, sometimes chasing them and sometimes seeking a snuggle from them. I'm shy at first meeting new people, but warm up quickly. I can be pretty vocal when I want something or am warning the neighbors sometime is walking on it street. I'm mostly housetrained, but not crate trained.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 11, 2025, 1:46 pm

Story
DAY 11 UPDATE: My foster mom says I am super chill and easy going. I love car rides and when she comes out, I am waiting in the driver seat for her. She thinks I’m super funny and cute. Had my first pup cup and boy that was super tasty! More please! I'm getting trim and in shape, we are up to 4 mile walks. I have met so many people. I am not a jumper...I wag my nub with excitement! I khow to sit and wait for my food, shake and lay down. Neck scratches are the best!! Love Ms.”P” (That’s what my foster calls me) DAYS ONE AND TWO IN RESCUE 10.21.25 Hi I’m Pheobe, It has taken some time to get here, but I think I’m gonna like it. I heard everyone talking and I do great on car rides. My first night with my foster mom went really good, I didn't even get up once! My foster mom says I’m super de duper sweet, loving and calm. I like to follow her around and when it’s potty time, I whine at the door. I went on my first walk today, she says I have a little pep in my step and I walk nice on a leash. I even saw some squirrels, I have good manners so my foster mom tells me. Don’t let my age fool you, I love to play with toys and then take a good old long nap. Love Pheobe &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 COMING SOON TO RESCUE: I'm an all around happy girl. I might be older, but I love to play and go for walks. I'm good with other dogs, cats and kids. I'm housetrained and crate trained. If so we'll with a dog buddy or as an only dog. I will be a fit for pretty much every home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 5, 2025, 10:21 am

NEW TO RESCUE: I'm a happy, energetic, friendly guy looking for an active family or a big yard for zoomies. I love going to the dog park to run with the other dogs. I get along with kids but might knock them over when I'm excited. I'm crate trained and housetrained. I pull on the leash and am a Houdini with a harness. Good With Dogs: Only with slow intros Good With Cats: unknown Good With Kids: unknown Kennel Trained: Yes Age: Approx. 3 Years To apply for this magnificent pup, please go to our website at emotionalrescuedogs.org,  locate the dog's profile under Available Dogs and click the ADOPT button!  Let's make the magic happen! Adoption Fee: $ 450 Fee Includes: Current vaccinations, microchip If you want to be considered for adoption, fill out an application at emotionalrescuedogs.org ANGUS is a big, sweet, loving Dogo Argentina. His birthday is around June of 2020, a pandemic puppy! He came to rescue over two years ago with his deaf sister, Amara.. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Angus knows " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, he reads from his foster mom's body language. Angus loves to play outside with his sister and smell all the smells. He loves to have toys so much that he'lloften race inside so he can gather up all the toys (especially from his sister's kennel before we notices) and hoard them in his kennel. He has a wonderful relationship with Amara, his sister. It would be nice if they were adopted them together but it's not required. We ask that he be the only other animal in the home, except for his sister, just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". Angus does not have a mean bone in his body but he's a bit of a bull in a China shop kind of boy! He just likes to run fast and slide through his turns! A fenced in yard is required so Angus can be free to explore and smell all the smells. This boy will steal your heart the minute you meet him. He's always happy and greets you with a smile on his face. ##1971033##

Good With Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: unknown Good With Kids: unknown Kennel Trained: Yes Age: Approx. 3-1/2 Years To apply for this magnificent pup, please go to our website at emotionalrescuedogs.org,  locate the dog's profile under Available Dogs and click the ADOPT button!  Let's make the magic happen! Adoption Fee: $ 450 Fee Includes: Current vaccinations, microchip If you want to be considered for adoption, fill out an application at emotionalrescuedogs.org Amara has been in Rescue for two and a half YEARS, looking for her special family! Be still my heart, Amara is a big, sweet, loving, Deaf Dogo Argentino. She's a Pandemic Puppy with a birthday around June, 2020. She came to rescue over two and a half years ago with her deaf brother after they were dumped by their owner. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Amara knows sign language for " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, she reads from her foster mom's body language. She is happy to please and leans in for love! Amara loves to go for car rides, play outside with her brother and smell all the smells. She likes to have toys too. So many toys! She has a wonderful relationship with Angus, her brother. We would love to see them adopted together but that isn't mandatory. We recommend that she be the only other animal in the home (except for her brother), just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". This big girl is a cuddler. When she's all snuggled in, she has the sweetest snore. Once she is adopted and settles in, you'll wonder how you ever survived without her. She's the missing piece of the puzzle your life needs. A fenced in yard is required so Amara can be free to explore and smell all the smells and explore to her heart's content without needing to keep you in sight so she can "hear" you. To meet this good dog, apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org ##1971041##

Story
** Can only be seen by appointment: 651-772-8983 **Hi, I’m Gus – a 7-year-old handsome American Bulldog mix with movie star looks and a heart that’s still learning to trust. I tend to keep my circle small until I know you’re the real deal. Earn my trust (and bring treats and a Chuckit ball), and you’ll see I’m all in.Meet Gus – Our drop-dead gorgeous ball enthusiast. He was picked up by St. Paul Animal Control, and his owner was never found. Let’s be real, Gus isn’t a “jump-into-your-arms” kind of guy. He’s more of a slow but steady trust building kind of guy. But give him time, some patience, and a ball (yeah, it’s kind of a big deal), and you’ll unlock a whole new level of loyal. Gus isn’t a starter dog – he’s more of a “hidden gem” seasoned dog owner type dog. But once you’re in his circle of trust, you’re in for life. You’ll get tail wags, silly antics, and unmatched joy of earning the trust of a dog who really needs his person. Gus loves to go on walks but just don’t expect a calm stroll in the park – Gus walks like he’s late for a very important meeting. He’s got places to be and smells to sniff. Loyal, goofy, and a little extra – he is a special boy with a big personality. Gus would thrive in a home that understands that love takes time, but once he’s in, he’s all in. Bonus points if you have a strong leash hand and an endless supply of Chuckit balls! If you are into loyalty and laughs, with a “work-in-progress” dog, who’ll love you almost as much as his ball? Then look no further. He’s special - He knows it. We know it. And soon you will too. Gus is waiting – ball in mouth, heart on sleeve.
