Story
Bo is a larger guy, full of wrinkles, kisses and love.
He is a sharpei mix that was born February 15, 2023 and weighs approximately 55 lbs.
This sweet boy was picked up as a stray by animal control when he was only a puppy, where he was set to be euthanized when a good Samaritan pulled him out to safety. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to care for him properly and instead of surrendering him back to animal control, reached out to us for help.
Bo is very devoted to his person and will follow you and protect you till the end of the earth. This handsome guy can be a bit aloof with men & strangers, but if he deems you his, you’ll have a constant shadow.
Mostly being sharpei, he is protective of his family and space, but thinks he’s a lap dog if you’ve earned your way into his circle.
He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and loves being around other dogs. He even made best friends with a 7 lb shihtzu mix.
He has been living with inside and outside cats and has no issues with cats.
Bo loves to play fetch, and he loves water, he walks well on leash & will sit pretty for treats. He’s very food motivated but takes food very gently.
Bo only barks when someone comes to the door or driveway, but otherwise he’s a quiet guy. He can be very active and get his zoomies around the yard, but he’s mostly just a big cuddle buddy and loves laying in the air conditioning.
He snores, and it’s so stinking cute. It’s a light trickle of a snore, but you’ll definitely know he’s sleeping and dreaming.
Bo can be a little nervous around fast movements, so only older children please. While he’s ok with men (the foster has a son and husband), he’d prefer being a ladies’ man.
He is house trained. He can go in a crate, but he prefers to be right next to you. He is not destructive and does perfectly fine being left alone in the home with no issues.
An ideal home for Bo is one that is a bit more low-key, who wants a very loyal companion, one who will always be by your side, and love you no matter what. Bo is not very active, and would prefer TV over runs any day.

Bo is neutered, current on rabies vaccine, parvo/distemper vaccine, bordatella, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, dewormer, microchipped, heart worm negative and he will receive his health certificate from a veterinarian prior to adoption.
