Meet Red: Red is about a 2 year old (as of December 2025) boxer / black mouth cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 50 pounds. Red was found on the streets in rural Mississippi with her litter of puppies. The puppies have all been adopted and now it’s her turn. Red is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Red is a very friendly dog. Red is sweet and nice to have around. Red gets along great with other dogs, but we do not recommend that she live with cats. Red is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while she transitions to another method. We would love for Red to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play freely. Red is up to date on her shots and spayed. Red had been heartworm positive, but has completed treatments and is good to go! We rescued Mark from a Kill Shelter in MD in May 2024.He was on the euthanasia list due to space.He is a sweetheart but can be stubborn sometimes.He is great with kids and cats.He prefers girl dogs over boy dogs but I assume that is because he is not neutered yet(the shelter didnt see the point in wasting money since they were going to euthanize him).He would benefit best with a family with a fenced in yard at least 6ft tall.He has gotten out of our backyard a few times due to our fence only being 4ft and we cant afford to upgrade it yet.He walks on the leash fairly well, can pull if he gets excited but can be redirected easily.We use a collar that vibrates/beeps to help.He loves being a lap dog and loves affection/attention.He is crate trained at night and potty trained.Never has had any sign of food aggression.We love him so much but we have gotten to the point that I can no longer afford to take care of him as a newly single mom of 3 kids.I really hope he can go to a loving family!

Welcome boxer and senior dog lovers! This handsome, salt-and-pepper fellow is Pierre, a 9-year old boxer patiently waiting for someone to love and share his golden years with in his forever home. Pierre is a people-oriented guy and adores his humans. While he is living in a multi-dog foster home and has made several canine friends there, he would very much enjoy being the center of attention as an only dog in his forever home. When he came to the rescue, Pierre was a bit frail and underweight. As his weight, muscle tone, and overall health improved, so did his strength. He is in excellent condition and health for a dog in his season of life. Pierre walks well on leash and also enjoys moderate hikes. He adores a good car ride, snuggles on the couch, or just chilling on the floor while the humans do their thing. Pierre is crate-trained and rests nicely in crate when his foster family is at work. Pierre would benefit from a schedule where he can have pottery breaks during the day. He would be excellent for someone who has a flexible schedule. Pierre is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, is on tick/heartworm preventatives. He had senior bloodwork done before receiving a dental to freshen up that cute mouth of his. Pierre is being fostered in north-eastern Lancaster county/edge of Berks and potential adopters should be willing to travel to meet him. We are looking to rehome our sweet boy. He’s a Boxer/Pit mix, full of love and personality. He does great with kids and gets along well with dogs that are his size or larger. He’s loyal, affectionate, and loves being around people. He is 5 years old. However, he cannot be around cats or smaller animals. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, no small pets, and someone who can give him the attention and love he deserves. This is a tough decision, and we’re only doing it to make sure he goes to the right environment where he can truly be happy and safe.

Meet Maurice: Maurice is a 2 year 3 months old (as of April 2025) pit / lab mix (best guess) that weighs around 53 pounds. Maurice is timid but sweet. He gives lots of kisses, likes belly rubs, and will paw for more attention. He loves being outside where he can sniff things, watch squirrels and birds, and run around. A fenced-in yard or someone looking for a walking buddy would be ideal for Maurice. He is great in the car, crate and house-trained, and will entertain himself with chew bones.  Maurice is currently in a foster home in the Leesport, PA area. He only got outside to play two times a day, then the rest of his time is spent in a dog run. Spud deserves a home of his own.
