Story
Meet Red: Red is about a 2 year old (as of December 2025) boxer / black mouth cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 50 pounds. Red was found on the streets in rural Mississippi with her litter of puppies. The puppies have all been adopted and now it’s her turn. Red is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Red is a very friendly dog. Red is sweet and nice to have around. Red gets along great with other dogs, but we do not recommend that she live with cats. Red is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while she transitions to another method. We would love for Red to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play freely. Red is up to date on her shots and spayed. Red had been heartworm positive, but has completed treatments and is good to go! If you would like to add this mama into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Mississippi, awaiting transport to PA ##2606440##

Story
Welcome boxer and senior dog lovers! This handsome, salt-and-pepper fellow is Pierre, a 9-year old boxer patiently waiting for someone to love and share his golden years with in his forever home. Pierre is a people-oriented guy and adores his humans. While he is living in a multi-dog foster home and has made several canine friends there, he would very much enjoy being the center of attention as an only dog in his forever home. When he came to the rescue, Pierre was a bit frail and underweight. As his weight, muscle tone, and overall health improved, so did his strength. He is in excellent condition and health for a dog in his season of life. Pierre walks well on leash and also enjoys moderate hikes. He adores a good car ride, snuggles on the couch, or just chilling on the floor while the humans do their thing. Pierre is crate-trained and rests nicely in crate when his foster family is at work. Pierre would benefit from a schedule where he can have pottery breaks during the day. He would be excellent for someone who has a flexible schedule. Pierre is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, is on tick/heartworm preventatives. He had senior bloodwork done before receiving a dental to freshen up that cute mouth of his. Pierre is being fostered in north-eastern Lancaster county/edge of Berks and potential adopters should be willing to travel to meet him. If Pierre sounds like the guy for you, head on over to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application through his profile. Please note: We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder. Kennel license 9117 Reading, Pa 19608

Story
We are looking to rehome our sweet boy. He’s a Boxer/Pit mix, full of love and personality. He does great with kids and gets along well with dogs that are his size or larger. He’s loyal, affectionate, and loves being around people. He is 5 years old. However, he cannot be around cats or smaller animals. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, no small pets, and someone who can give him the attention and love he deserves. This is a tough decision, and we’re only doing it to make sure he goes to the right environment where he can truly be happy and safe.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Mr. Carl Bones is looking for a family to love! This sweet, 6 mo old boxer mix was found as a stray, starving to death and in pitiful shape, when he was just a baby. It took a while to get him healthy enough to complete his vetting. He was severely anemic from fleas, ticks, and worms, so we had to handle that first, and get some weight on him, before he could be neutered. Thanks to a very kind and committed foster mama, he is now healthy, happy, well socialized, and fully vetted. Carl is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and he loves other dogs, cats, and chickens. He loves all humans, including kids. He is just a fabulous pup, and as a bonus, he has the cutest little under bite imaginable! We believe he is a Boxer mix but probably wont be as large as a full boxer. He is currently about 30 lbs at 6 months old, so he may top out at 40-50 lbs. Dont miss out on this beautiful, well behaved, sweet boy! He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  In New England. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Hi, my name is Diego, and I am a 4 year old boxer/pit mix that loves to run and play. I have never been on a leash, as my mom has just let me run around the backyard. I love to play with small kids. (They have lots of fun and energy). . I remember we used to run around the house and play. Which was annoying to mom, but fun for us. We had a lot of good laughs. I like riding in the car . I like watching all the cars pass by. I don`t bark at them because I know to use my inside voice. I am also good with most dogs. I am kennel trained and house trained. When I need to use the bathroom, I will nudge the handle to the back door to let my mom know I need to go outside. I am also treat motivated. I love to play tug-a-war with a rope. I love stuffed animals, too. I have lots of energy, so the more toys and play time the better. When my mom sits on the floor to play. I have tried to sit in her lap, but she says no because I am too big. So, I enjoy snuggling next to her.I live in Houston, Tx, but can transport to you, they said for $300. I have to go now. I have lots of playing to do. Hope to meet you soon.Love,Diego

Meet Maurice: Maurice is a 3 year old (as of 2026) pit / lab mix (best guess) that weighs around 60 pounds. Maurice is timid but sweet. He likes giving kisses, belly rubs, and getting attention from his person. He loves being outside and exploring. A fenced-in yard or someone looking for a walking buddy would be ideal for Maurice as he loves to run and go for walks. He is great in the car, crate and house-trained, and will entertain himself with chew bones. Maurice is currently in a foster home in the Leesport, PA area. He gets along with other dogs and has been fine around cats. Maurice is uncomfortable around men and would need to have a woman as his primary person. We would love for Maurice to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play! Maurice is up to date on his shots and neutered. Story
Meet Penny: Penny is about a 2 year old (as of November 2023) pit bull terrier mix (best guess) that weighs 48 pounds. Penny was a lucky one that was rescued from a southern high kill shelter after she was scheduled for euthanasia. Once in the foster’s home it was discovered that she was pregnant; Penny gave birth to 3 live puppies and remaining 6 were still born. She has been a wonderfully sweet mama and we want to find her and her pups the best forever homes! Penny is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Penny is a very sweet, active young lady and will need a family that likes to be active as well. Penny is a very playful girl who is constantly getting the zoomies. She is very athletic and would excel at sports! Penny is shy at first but will warm up quickly once bribed with treats and given time to get to know you. (She loves “Fromm Crunchy O’s” treats!) Penny is dog friendly if properly & slowly introduced. She prefers the company of submissive dogs her size or larger. She will need an experienced home because she will resource guard her food, treats & toys, so we don’t recommend small children for her. Penny has stunning blue eyes and a zest for life! Penny’s house training status is currently being assessed. Penny will need a home with a fenced in yard for her to play safely and get all of her zoomies out. Penny is up to date on her shots and spayed. If you are interested in adopting this active mama, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Bonnie: Bonnie is estimated to be about a 2 year old (as of June 2025) pit mix that weighs around 100 pounds. Bonnie and her brother, Clyde, were picked up as strays and found their way into our rescue. Bonnie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Bonnie is very sweet and friendly. Bonnie is leash trained, but can pull when excited. Bonnie gets along well with other dogs. Bonnie seems to do well with cats; she has ignored the cat she has been around even when the cat sits by her pen and taunts her. However they haven’t had much time in the same space. We are unsure of Bonnie’s house training status and will need to continue to assess her abilities as we spend more time with her. We would love for Bonnie to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can run and play freely. Bonnie is up to date on her shots and spayed.
