Learn more hereMarge is a 1-year-old, 47-pound terrier mix with a lot of love. This sweet girl recently finished raising her puppies and is now ready to be someone’s baby herself! She greets everyone with a wagging tail, and she’s always eager for attention (she’s working on keeping all four paws on the ground). Still very much a puppy at heart, Marge enjoys playtime just as much as cuddle time. She loves playing fetch and then settling in for long snuggle sessions with her people. She already knows basic cues like sit, stay, and off, and she’ll thrive with positive, reward-based training, especially to polish up her leash manners. Marge is friendly and playful with other dogs. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:6This dog is available to meet by appointment only. Montclair is a 9-month-old pittie mix bursting with joy and affection. He’s timid and underconfident at first, but once he knows you, this playful pup greets you with a wagging tail, soft eyes, and boundless excitement. He’s looking for an experienced adopter who can provide patience, consistency, and gentle handling so that he can continue to grow. Eager to impress, Montclair’s already learned sit, down, touch, and spin. He enjoys toys, exploring, and most of all, being close to his person. He loves rolling over for belly rubs and crawling into laps for cuddles. On leash, he’s happy to check in, and he’s gentle when taking treats. In shelter playgroups, Montclair gets along with other friendly dogs. He could do well in a home with well-matched dogs, or as a solo pup with occasional playdates.  With his affectionate nature, Montclair is ready to bring endless snuggles to a loving home. He's healing from a tibial tuberosity fracture, a common injury in young, active dogs, so a follow-up with your veterinarian is recommended.  Please submit an adoption questionnaire to meet Montclair. Learn more herePraline is a 7-year-old, 63-pound pittie mix with a spirit as sweet as his name. This very happy boy is blind and recovering beautifully from surgery in a foster home.  With the help of his new halo harness, Praline is navigating the world with growing confidence and enthusiasm. He’s mastered the ramp down the stairs, is doing wonderfully with clicker training, and has learned how to sit. Treats are still the way to his heart, and he remains playful, curious, and very brave. He’s now enjoying walks and gets excited to head outside. Praline believes he’s a lap dog and greets kind voices with nonstop tail wags. He’s calm and gentle around other dogs and would do well with appropriately matched canine friends or as a solo pup with dog buddies.
