Everyone say hello to Benny — the goodest boy who is officially SAFE because a foster stepped up and said YES 🙌💛 He was rescued from @stanislaus_shelter_friends after being euthanasia listed not once but twice 🥺 With only hours left to live, that one yes to fostering saved his life. Benny is 4 years old, 58 lbs, and 100% sweet boy energy. He can get a teensy bit overstimulated when he’s excited (honestly… same), but give him a minute and he settles right down like a champ. 🧘‍♂️✨ His favorite coping skill? 👉 His emotional support stuffy 🧸 Never underestimate the power of a good plushie. Benny is affectionate, lovable, and so grateful to be out of the shelter and into foster care where he can finally exhale and be his goofy, loving self. Huge thank you to the foster who opened their heart and home, you saved this boy’s life. 💙 Welcome to rescue life, Benny. The best chapters start now.

Waffles is an XL Bully or other Pit Bull type mix. She was brought to our shelter on 3/11/26 after being found in Castro Valley. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous person, so she's now looking for a new home! Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). She’s the ultimate cuddle bug… the kind of dog who doesn’t just sit next to you, she melts into you. Her favorite move? Tucking her little face into your arm like she’s trying to become one with you 🥹 This sweet girl has: ✨ A derpy, heart-melting smile ✨ The cutest spotted snout you’ve ever seen ✨ A playful, goofy side (yes… she redecorates her crate daily 😂) ✨ A growing love for walks she’s improving on leash every day! Dorothy is dog friendly with medium to large dogs (cats unknown) and would love a home where she can keep blossoming. She may not love car rides just yet but honestly she’d much rather be home snuggled up with her person anyway. After everything she’s been through, Dorothy is just… happy. Happy to be safe.
