Story
Feta is a loving, cuddly, goofy, curious, and happy ~16-month, pitbull mix weighing 60 pounds. He greets you in the morning with full body wiggles. He’s potty-trained, walks well on leash (checks in often), has good recall off leash, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, paw, leave it). Very food motivated, eager to learn new training. He’s happiest being with his people, playing with another dog, or quietly resting and chewing on a sturdy toy.Feta has successfully lived and played with other dogs, including in his previous foster home. He does well in pack walks with other dogs. But our other older, female dog is too dominant and aggressive. She is the problem, not Feta. After working hard to manage the situation, we cannot keep Feta safe from our other dog. We want to find Feta a home where he can thrive rather than continue putting either dog in a stressful situation.

Bandit is 3 years old. Very handsome very loving and lovable. He is very intelligent.He loves Routines.House trained knows basic commands. He absolutely loves the dog park he enjoys playing fetch with 2 balls always. He loves his balls. Indestructible balls for the house and tennis balls at the park. He is great with other dogs at the dog park big or small. Loves to play. At home he is mellow, calm. At night he is protective. He will alert you if anyone is outside. I should have named him the General because of how protective he is. Bandit has a heart of gold. I witnessed it when I assumed my other dog took bandits bone and so I returned it to him and she was then sad and he then saw she was sad and he returned the bone to her. Witnessing that interaction changed how I seen dogs . If I could I would definitely keep Bandit I love him so much. Having to give him up is the hardest thing to do. I feel like I'm letting him down. I love that boy with all my heart he deserves a good home.

Kay is a lovely girl who has been coming out of her shell and is turning into a social pup. She bonds quickly to humans and likes to stay very close. She doesn’t seem to have any issues with other dogs, and passes them calmly, as long as they don't get too close to her preferred human friend. She is friendly and loving, and will make a great addition to just about any home. • I’ve been at the shelter for 30 days or more and weigh over 35 pounds, so the Friends of Berkeley Animal Care Services (FoBACS) have SPONSORED MY ADOPTION FEE! I’m a great dog who just needs a chance, and I’m ready to prove that big dogs make the best dogs! Kay is currently in a foster home. If you're interested in her, please email kswanson@berkeleyca.gov First, we'll set up a virtual meeting with their current foster family via phone, Zoom, or Facetime, to provide you with more detailed information. Then, if you feel that Kay might be a good adoption fit, shelter staff will gladly coordinate an up-close and personal meet and greet with your potential family member. Thank you for your support!
