Story
Meet Barrett
Barrett is a loving, social, and seriously charming boy who is ready for his next chapter! He survived a tough start — arriving at a shelter in Baltimore after being shot and battled pneumonia — but he healed beautifully and never lost his happy, gentle spirit. (And yes, those ice-blue eyes do come with hearing — he hears just fine!)
Barrett is:
Kid-Friendly
Dog-Friendly
People-Social (no stranger hesitation)
Crate Trained & Well-Mannered
Board-and-Train Graduate with continued trainer support included
He currently lives with multiple dogs and gets along great with most. One resident dog is not a match for him, and while the home has been managing with structure and training, they want Barrett to have a home where he can fully relax and thrive.
Barrett would love:
A home with another friendly, well-balanced dog or can be in a home where he can be your one-and-only adventure buddy, he will want to make dog friends, so his family would need to make this a priority!
He’s resilient, affectionate, easy to live with, and truly a joy to have around.
Interested in adopting Barrett?
He’s ready to make your home feel complete.

Our adoption fee does not fully cover all vetting, medical care, food, supplies, or training costs. As we depend on donations to provide for the animals in our care, we are unable to reduce or refund the adoption fee. Out of area adopters (outside of DC, MD, VA and PA) will be considered on a case by case basis and will be required to come to the foster location for an in-person meet-and-greet. Our rescue is not able to provide out of state transport.
