Story
Cletus is an easy going, adorable male Golden Retriever/Lab mix, born on October 12, 2024. He is a good family member, crate-trained and mostly house-trained with some support in his new home. Cletus is great with kids, dogs and cats. He might be a bit shy when he first meets new people, but warms up quickly and his goofy, loving personality shines through as you can see in the videos. He’s neutered, and very healthy and happy. The adoption fee is $50.  This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina.     Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.November 12, 2025, 2:59 pm

Story
Ace is a 3-year-old pit mix with a big heart and a playful spirit. He is a happy, energetic dog that loves to play and be up under you! He loves playing with kids and enjoys being part of the action. He also enjoys meeting and playing with dogs and can thrive in a household with another dog. Ace is fully house and crate trained. He knows commands such sit, down, crate/place, and "drop it." He even knows how to dry his mouth after drinking water! He's smart and eager to please, and does best with structure and consistency. Ace can be a little apprehensive in new environments but loves people which will help him warm up in no time. He is a very people-oriented dog and forms strong bonds. Ace's favorite spot will be right next to you and because of this he can experience separation anxiety. He would do best with a family that can give him patience, reassurance, and a consistent routine. A home where he isn't left alone for long periods would be ideal.
