Junebug is an adorable three-month-old shepherd mix with ears for days, full of curiosity, affection, and a love for both people and other dogs. She is slightly nervous in new situations, but with exposure to new sights and sounds she is quickly learning to approach the world with excitement and confidence. She would thrive with an active homewho understands the needs of a working breed and enjoys providing both mental stimulation and physical exercise to keep her engaged and happy.
Junebug is crate trained and housebroken, and she is working on basic commands and leash training. In her foster home with two adult dogs, she is playful yet respectful, and while she would enjoy having a canine playmate, it is not essential for her happiness. She loves every person she meets, has not been exposed to cats, and due to her herding breed tendencies, she is best suited for a home with older children who can match her energy and understand her instincts.
Her favorite things include stuffed toys, rope toys, balls (she is learning to retrieve), and good sticks. She loves being outside where she can run in big circles during zoomies, before settling down to watch the world go by, nap on the deck, or roll in the grass.
June Bug is tall and lanky, and while her exact breed mix is unknown, she is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. Junebug has the potential to become a deeply rewarding companion, bringing playfulness, loyalty, and enthusiasm into the right home, especially for someone who appreciates the spirit of a smart, active shepherd-type dog and wants a partner for both adventure and quiet moments alike.
