Meet Bella
Sometimes life changes in an instant.
After spending nearly eight years with the family she loved, Bella suddenly found herself back in the shelter when her owner could no longer keep her due to housing. Understandably, she was heartbroken. The noisy shelter was incredibly stressful for her, and despite the staff's best efforts to help her cope, all Bella really needed was a soft bed, kind people, and a place to feel safe again.
Thankfully, The Rescue Crew was able to give her exactly that—and almost immediately, Bella's true personality began to shine.
This sweet girl is proof that age is just a number. At 10 years old, Bella still has plenty of pep in her step and doesn't act like a senior one bit! Whether she's heading out for a walk, greeting new friends, or happily trotting around the yard, she's full of life and always ready to be part of whatever you're doing.
If you so much as glance in Bella's direction, she's already making her way over for pets. She's the kind of dog who gently tucks her head under your hand or arm, quietly asking for just a little more affection. The more love you give, the happier she is.
Bella is truly one of those easy, "just fits right into the family" kind of dogs.
She is:
Fully potty trained
Crate trained (she may sing you a little song at first because she'd rather be with you, but settles in nicely)
Walks beautifully on a Gentle Leader
Eager to please and responds well to commands
Friendly with everyone she meets
She's also officially kid-approved! Bella recently met children ages 6 and 8 and was wonderful with both of them, happily greeting them with her signature tail wags and full-body wiggles.
While Bella enjoys chasing squirrels and chipmunks, so a home without cats may be the best fit, she has been calm around other dogs and isn't reactive on walks. With slow, thoughtful introductions, we think she'd likely enjoy having a canine companion.
And one more thing...Bella has a very special talent. Her adorable snores just might become your favorite bedtime soundtrack. Think less "freight train" and more "instant white noise machine." They're oddly comforting and guaranteed to make you smile.
Bella has already experienced what it's like to lose the home she loved. Now she's looking for the family who will remind her that the very best chapters are still ahead.
Life has thrown Bella more than one unexpected curveball, but through it all she's remained incredibly loving, trusting, and ready to share her whole heart with the people around her.
