Story
Tracey is a 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier with the sweetest little “teefy” smile you’ve ever seen. At 74 pounds, she’s a beautiful, sturdy girl, but don’t let her size fool you… she’s really just a gentle cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be close to her people.Tracey is fully house-trained, well-mannered, and enjoys the freedom of roaming the home. She’s an easy companion, quiet, calm, and happiest curled up beside you or tucked under a cozy blanket. She’ll gently paw at you for attention, make adorable little vibrato noises to say “notice me,” and give the softest huffs when she’s unsure and needs comfort. Once she trusts you, her affection is endless.Tracey walks well on a leash with a couple of walks per day, and she’s a champion sniffer! She’s not high-energy, but she enjoys squeaky toys, running around the backyard and small games of catching a tennis ball. Tracey is on a weight reducing diet and is slowly losing weight. She is strong, healthy and has no known medical concerns or needs at this time.Tracey is interested in other dogs and may be happy with a low-energy canine sibling, but she cannot live with cats. Sudden movements can startle her, so she’s looking for a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe. Because of this, her foster family also believes that she cannot live with young children in case there is any rough play or loud noise.Tracey’s dream home is one filled with love, routine, and companionship. She’s not just looking for an owner, she’s looking for her person, someone who will be her safe place, her advocate, and her forever family. If you’re ready for a deeply devoted, affectionate companion who will love you with her whole heart, Tracey is waiting to meet you.If you are interested in Tracey, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Tempo is a 2-year-old Husky mix and a sweet, sensitive guy. At 62 lbs, he has a gentle heart, a curious mind, and a playful streak that comes out once he feels safe. He can be shy at first and prefers slow, respectful introductions, but give him a little time and he’ll happily follow you around the house, lean in for pets, and invite you to play—sometimes by dramatically forcing his face into your arms or chasing his own tail for laughs. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and generally well-behaved, though he can get into mischief like exploring the trash if left alone too long. Tempo has some mild separation anxiety and benefits from being crated when left alone. His favorite toy is a tennis ball that he chews on and chases. Tempo loves being outside and going for walks, and he does best with regular exercise to keep his body and brain happy. He will require a fenced yard in his future home to give him the exercise he needs.Proper introductions will be needed when introducing Tempo to new friends because of his unknown history. He will pull toward dogs on walks like he wants to play, and he hasn’t met a cat directly, but he seems curious when seeing cats outside. Tempo hasn’t met kids yet, but he would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who let him warm up to them.Tempo is looking for a patient home that understands shy dogs, loves daily walks and outdoor time, and is ready to earn the trust—and loyalty—of a truly special sidekick! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Ollie is a 2–3-year-old Shepherd mix who perfectly balances adventure buddy and cuddlebug. At 40 pounds, he’s big enough to join you on long walks and outdoor fun, but perfectly content to curl up next to you on the couch afterward. He’s happiest when he’s near his people. He was quiet and subdued his first couple of days in foster care, cuddling almost immediately, and grew more playful and confident as he settled in. He’s fully house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home. Ollie knows “kennel” and will head right into his crate, though he's done well when left out and content to nap for hours.Ollie is great with other dogs and gets very excited when he sees them out and about. He does not have experience with cats or with children, so a proper introduction is recommended. This boy has high energy and will need more than just a quick stroll around the block. Multiple daily walks are recommended, and a fenced yard will be required in his future home to meet his energy needs. His favorite activity is running free and sniffing everything in sight, but also enjoys puzzle toys to keep his smart mind busy. He loves soft or crinkly toys (fair warning: they may not survive long), and he’ll happily chase a tennis ball — he just hasn’t quite grasped the concept of bringing it back. Ollie is the kind of dog who will run with you by day and curl up close by night.
