Story
Meet Bodhi — a goofy pittie with a giant heart, a serious appreciation for snacks, and enough personality to keep his people laughing every day. He’s affectionate, playful, curious, and absolutely convinced that being included in whatever you’re doing is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Bodhi loves his people BIG. Once you’ve been welcomed into his very exclusive “inner circle of trust,” you have a devoted shadow who wants to be wherever you are. He loves cuddling, comfy blankets, car rides, toys, water, treats, and hanging out with his dog friends. He’s the kind of guy who will happily curl up under your desk while you work, supervise household activities, and make sure nobody has accidentally misplaced a snack. He also has a spectacularly goofy play style. Bodhi is enthusiastic, energetic, and sometimes completely unaware of how much dog he actually is. His favorite canine activity is basically WWE with fur, so he does best with sturdy dogs who enjoy a good wrestling match and won't take his exuberance personally. He could also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as his humans are around enough to give him the companionship and attention he craves. Bodhi is smart and eager to learn. He already knows “sit,” “shake,” and “kennel,” and he’s currently working on “wait” and “watch” to help him stay focused when exciting things are happening. He’s catching on beautifully. He’s house-trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and is comfortable in his kennel. In fact, he has learned that his kennel is his safe place and will sometimes put himself there when he needs a break. He does best when he isn’t left kenneled for long stretches, though, because eventually he has some opinions to share about that arrangement. Bodhi is also wonderfully food motivated, which makes training him extra fun. He’s a guy who can be convinced that almost anything is worth trying if there happens to be a treat involved. There is an important softer side to Bodhi that his future family will need to understand. Despite all his goofy confidence once he knows you, he can be insecure around unfamiliar people, especially men. He does best when strangers give him space and allow him to approach on his own terms. If a man stares at him or waits for him to come over, Bodhi may bark, jump, and then retreat behind his person. It’s fear rather than aggression, and we are happy to say - he is making wonderful progress. He now happily accepts pets and treats from the men in his life—a huge milestone for a dog who once found unfamiliar men very intimidating. Bodhi is also an emotional guy. He takes his humans’ energy to heart, and when the people around him are anxious or upset, he can become unsettled himself. A calm, confident person who understands insecure dogs will help him feel safe and successful. He’s already showing that, with patience and consistency, he can expand his circle of trust. He does well with his foster’s 8-year-old, although his enthusiasm and occasional lack of spatial awareness mean older, dog-savvy kids may be the best fit. He can get very excited when kids are running and playing and is still learning that he doesn't always need to join the action. Bodhi has come a long way, and the best part is that he genuinely wants to keep growing. He’s a silly, affectionate, playful pittie who wants a family, a routine, some good snacks, and a person he can trust. Once he knows you're his person, prepare yourself for the full Bodhi experience: big love, big goofy energy, big kisses, and a very loyal shadow who would prefer not to miss a single thing. Bodhi may have started out unsure of the world, but he’s discovering that life is pretty wonderful when you have good people, good snacks, and a safe place to land.

Story
Meet Bailey, a joyful, full-body-wiggle kind of girl who seems to have never met a stranger—or a dog—she didn’t immediately love! Bailey approaches life with enthusiasm, a wagging tail, and the firm belief that everyone she meets is her newest best friend. Playtime is Bailey’s specialty. Fetch is absolutely her jam, but she’s also happy to chase, wrestle with her dog friends, splash around in water, or even enjoy a bath. She can play hard for 20–30 minutes before happily crashing for a cozy nap and recharging for the next adventure. Bailey is just as affectionate as she is playful. She loves being with her people, leans in for pets, and will happily flop over for belly rubs. She also adores other dogs and learns from their cues, making canine friendships a big part of her happy-go-lucky personality. Like any young dog, Bailey is still learning her manners. She’s very enthusiastic about greeting people and sometimes forgets that jumping isn’t the preferred way to say hello, but she’s eager to learn and responds well to guidance from both people and other dogs. Bailey is housetrained and does well when her people keep her routine consistent. She sleeps quietly in her crate and keeps it clean overnight. She already knows “sit” and is making great progress with leash manners, although she still occasionally remembers that a leash can look suspiciously like a puppy toy! Loud noises and household sounds don’t seem to bother Bailey much, and she’s an adaptable, fun-loving girl who is ready to keep learning and growing with her family. Bailey would thrive with someone who enjoys an active, playful dog and is ready to give her plenty of exercise, enrichment, training, adventures, and opportunities to socialize with canine friends. In return, she’ll bring an enormous supply of enthusiasm, affection, goofy fun, and joy to every day. 🐾❤️
