Story
Kingsley is a very sweet pup with a big head, big heart, and the sweetest face. After he had been on the run for quite some time, it was easy to see that Kingsley just wanted a place to be loved and doted on. He loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed and loves to give big kisses. Kingsley loves showing how to sit and shake, especially for a treat! Kingley’s nickname could be “Piggy” because whenever he gets excited (mainly over meal time) he loves to “oink” and snort while wagging his tail and doing tippy tappys- it is absolutely adorable! He lovessss his bones and loves whenever he can lay in his bed to chew on them. Thunderstorms are not Kingsley’s favorite- but he is very appreciative of hugs and loving from humans when they come through. Kingsley loves to go outside on the leash to go on walks, runs, and to explore! He is house training, fully vetted, and loves any and all people. We do believe Kingsley was not socialized much with other dogs, so it would be best for him to be in a home where he would be the only pet. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Kinglsey is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.April 19, 2024, 9:21 pm

Story
Please read all the way to the end before applying for Koko: Meet Koko an about a 4-5 year old Pit Bull Terrier, potentially a Staffordshire Terrier, who weighs around 50-60 lbs. Koko is housebroken & crate trained, walks well on a leash & loves to go for walks & car rides. She has never met a stranger & is loving life, is ready to go on any adventure with her family. Koko loves kids, although her energy may be too much for the little one, so kids 8 years and older are best. She loves to cuddle on the couch or in bed, she actually sleeps in her 13 year old human foster-sister's bed every night & loves to go for meetings with her friends . Koko is a flirt as she does best with bigger MALE dogs but is NOT one for female dogs of any size. Koko was adopted 3 years ago & lived in a loving home for the past 3 years - but had to be surrendered following some unexpected life situations when the family could no longer keep her. She is currently fostered with a family that has four other dogs. Story
Sunny is a3 year old pit bull mix. I adopted her 2 year ago after fostering her for a month for my foster group. She gets along great with my Boston Terrier,Titus and my elderly lab, Molly. Unfortunately, for some reason, she attacks my other dog, Stormy every 2 months. She has shown no aggression to my other dogs or to any humans. In fact she LOVES all people - young and old. She is otherwise submissive, loves to please, has moderate energy. She is house trained, walks well on a leash, knows basic commands and is eager to please. A fenced yard would be the best. She likes to chase squirrels, of course. is not a barker. She does not like to be left alone and has been known to tear her bed apart if not kenneled. She does go in the car but it ins't her favorite activity. I think she could get used to it with practice. I think she would do best as an only dog, or with a smaller breed dog that likes to play. Her owners should be home most of the time. Sunny is a joy overall.
