Story
We adopted Laika and her sister Sookie, who is also listed about 2 years ago. The sisters had thier territory issues, but all in all are very loving. We list about the unknown as far as getting along with other dogs due to being a bit territorial. We are in need of rehoming due to our newborn and the dogs jealousy makes us afraid. They are loving and sweet. Very good with our cat that helped raise them. It saddens us to rehome, but we have found this necessary.

Moxie is a playful girl who loves being near her people or outside playing with her canine brothers and sisters. Moxie plays well with other dogs and is always up for a chase around the yard or a tug of war. She is house and crate trained and gladly goes in her crate for meals and treats.Moxie is vocal but not excessive; more of a talker. She is good about letting you know when she is ready to go out or come back inside.Moxie is always close to her foster Dad, at his feet when he is working at his desk, cuddling on the couch, or curled up tight and as close as possible when it is time for bed.Moxie is just an all-around sweetheart, full of love and a spring in her step.She is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Gracie is a 2 1/2 year-old, 50lbs Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her smile! Originally adopted from Collin County Animal Shelter, she has blossomed into a sweet, loving, and playful companion who’s ready to find her forever family. Gracie is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She even graduated from training through Dog Training Elite—she knows sit, down, paw, come, and go to bed (kennel). She’s still working on her leash manners but is eager to please and treat-motivated, so continued training will be a fun way to bond with her. This girl has a playful side too—she LOVES tennis balls, cuddles on the couch, and watching squirrels from the window (she could do it for hours!). With her high prey drive, she would thrive in a home with no cats or small animals. Gracie would do best as the only pet - she can coexist around other dogs but seems to prefer being an only pet in her home space. She absolutely adores people, including children, and will make a wonderful family dog.  If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun companion, Gracie is ready to be your best friend. DOB: 12/27/2022 Weight: 40 lbs.  Rocky is an American Pit Bull Terrier/Chihuahua Mix who is being surrendered by his owner through no fault of his own. He's a very loving, affectionate and playful boy who does well with other dogs and children.  Rocky is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He tested positive for heartworms and will be treated using the slow-kill method at no cost to the adopter. His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to meet him here: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted.
