Meet Kala
Kala is a young mama with the sweetest soul and a heart that’s finally getting the chance to heal.
Kala was found as a stray with her puppies, doing everything she could to care for them despite having so little herself. Thanks to her incredible foster family, Kala and her Disney babies are now safe, healthy, and learning what it means to be loved. While her puppies are all still searching for their forever homes, it’s also time for this wonderful mama to find a family of her own.
If we had to describe Kala in one word, it would be grateful. You can see it in everything she does. Every morning she greets her people with the sweetest kisses, she gets excited every time they come home (even if they’ve only been gone a few minutes!), and she happily snuggles up beside them at bedtime as if she’s making up for all the love she missed out on.
Kala has a wonderfully calm personality. She loves spending a little time sunbathing before heading back inside for a cozy nap, and she’s happiest simply being close to the people she loves.

Kala gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. She’s incredibly patient, gentle, and loving with them, and she’s even started trying to play, though she’s still learning how. Because she’s formed such strong bonds with her canine companions, Kala does experience some separation anxiety and would thrive in a home with at least one other friendly dog to keep her company. It’s likely that, after spending so much of her life simply surviving, she never really had the chance to just be a carefree dog herself.
Kala truly is an incredible dog with so much love to give. She survived a difficult start to life, protected and raised her beautiful puppies, and has remained nothing but kind, gentle, and loving through it all. While her Disney pups are each searching for forever families of their own, Mama Kala is hoping someone will choose her too. She’s spent her life caring for everyone else—now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s baby.
