Story
Sweet Elle was rescued just hours before she was to be killed for space at Downey Shelter.  Elle is a sweet girl with lots of energy and an eagerness to please and learn from her owner/handler.  Elle was emaciated when we rescued her and is currently at 54 pounds, but I still think she should gain a few more.  Elle is house trained and crate trained and knows sit well.  Elle is also good walking on a leash, but needs a little more work on pulling.  Elle gets along great with other dogs, but does need a day or two to acclimate to a new one.  She is good with little dogs, but tends to play rough, so a bigger young dog to play with and keep her company would be wonderful for her.  Elle is now spayed, up to date on all vaccinations (including rabies), and microchipped.  Elle does have a very small umbilical hernia that we will have fixed when and if she ever has to undergo anesthesia again (maybe for a dental in future, etc).  We just do not want to put her under again for something unnecessary.  Elle's adoption donation is $450.  If you have any further questions, please call Krissy at (949) 456-7032 or to fill out an application, visit www.greendogfoundation.org.  Thank you for looking to rescue!October 20, 2025, 6:34 pm

Story
courtesy post for Sadie! Sadie was found wandering the streets far from the original adopter who got her from an Los Angeles shelter.   Owner surrendered and a well behaved spayed, 4 year old vaccinated and microchipped girl, she would flourish in a family environment!  Sadie knows her basic commands, loves loves all the people she meets and just wants love, some proper exercise and to never be dumped by another irresponsible owner ever again!  Sadie is about 50bs, majestic looking, wants to play with other dogs her size, house trained and pee pad trained as well...Ideally a home with a nice secure yard with high fencing as this breed is know to be escape artist.  Sadie is ready for your fun family or individual  adventures now!  For more info on Sweet Sadie:  Christina at christine112726@gmail.com or  +1 (650) 520-9333  August 18, 2025, 5:10 pm
