Story
🐾 Nalu is Looking for His Forever home. He’s really sweet, affectionate personality. He’s incredibly smart, learns quickly, and loves being around his people. Nalu is still a young, energetic dog and needs someone who has the time to continue his basic training. He needs some work with walking nicely on a leash, not jumping up when excited, and learning not to chew things like shoes that are left within reach. With consistency, he picks things up quickly. Nalu can be sensitive about sudden movements or handling around his face and neck. Ex, if someone suddenly reaches toward his face/neck while trying to put a collar on him, he may defensively nip. He has never broke He has never broken skin or caused an injury, but this is something his new owner absolutely needs to be aware of and willing to work on with patient, positive training. Other than this handling sensitivity, he has been a wonderful family dog and has done very well living around children and other animals.

Story
Hi, I’m Yippee. Only a year old, and before being rescued from Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, I never had a real loving family and was found as a stray. Yippee is a 63 pound male Husky/Shepherd mix (Shepsky) currently with his foster in San Diego, California. He is a one of a kind sweet boy who loves playing with other dogs and brings a fun, happy energy wherever he goes. During his time at the shelter, Yippee quickly became the favorite among volunteers because of his affectionate personality, playful spirit, and the way he always sought attention and connection from people. Even in a stressful environment, he remained loving, social, and eager to interact with everyone he met. Like many young dogs, Yippee is still learning basic manners and will benefit from continued training, structure, and consistency. He is smart, eager to learn, and very treat-motivated, which makes him highly trainable and excited to engage with his people. Yippee deserves a forever home where he can continue growing, feel safe and loved, and finally have a place he can truly call his own.

Story
Sweet Elle was rescued just hours before she was to be killed for space at Downey Shelter.  Elle is a sweet girl with lots of energy and an eagerness to please and learn from her owner/handler.  Elle was emaciated when we rescued her and is currently at 54 pounds, but I still think she should gain a few more.  Elle is house trained and crate trained and knows sit well.  Elle is also good walking on a leash, but needs a little more work on pulling.  Elle gets along great with other dogs, but does need a day or two to acclimate to a new one.  She is good with little dogs, but tends to play rough, so a bigger young dog to play with and keep her company would be wonderful for her.  Elle is now spayed, up to date on all vaccinations (including rabies), and microchipped.  Elle does have a very small umbilical hernia that we will have fixed when and if she ever has to undergo anesthesia again (maybe for a dental in future, etc).  We just do not want to put her under again for something unnecessary.  Elle's adoption donation is $450.  If you have any further questions, please call Krissy at (949) 456-7032 or to fill out an application, visit www.greendogfoundation.org.  Thank you for looking to rescue!August 28, 2026, 12:01 am

Story
I can't say enough good things about Buddy.  I wish I could keep him.  This poor boy was dumped off the side of a desolite highway in the mountains in the early morning hours along with his dog house.  A friend found him hiding in the bushes and brought him to our rescue.  When I first saw him, I thought "oh my, he's going to eat my dogs"...turns out that Buddy is one of the most sweetest dogs I've ever rescued.  He loves the other dogs and ESPECIALLY little puppies.  I have a bottle baby that he sleeps next to making sure no other dogs bother him.  He cleans him and loves on him.  I'm attaching a video of him along with two other little puppies we have.  Buddy is housetrained, crate trained and extremely obedient.  He also loves to cuddle next to me at night.  Buddy is now neutered, fully vaccinated (rabies included), received a dental and is microchipped and we just got back DNA on Buddy!  Buddy is 39% American Bully, 25% German Shepherd,  19% Pit Bull Terrier and 17% Siberian Husky.   Buddy's adoption fee is $450.  To fill out an application for Buddy, please visit www.greendogfoundation.org or for more information, please email us at greendogfoundation@gmail.comMarch 8, 2026, 1:58 pm
