Story
Rocco is a 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to us after being rescued from the Riverside Shelter. He’s incredibly sweet with a happy-go-lucky personality that fits just about anywhere. Rocco has been a star at our public events—he loves meeting new people and is especially gentle and patient with children. He gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Rocco would thrive in a home with another playful dog or kids to romp around with. As a Husky/Shepherd mix, he’ll do best with an active family and a yard where he can burn off energy, but he also knows when it’s time to settle down and relax. Rocco is truly the best of both worlds, and whoever adopts him will feel like they’ve hit the jackpot. Meet Holly, a young pup with a heart full of curiosity and sweetness. She's gentle as a breeze, yet playful as a squirrel in spring. She loves exploring her surroundings, sniffing out new scents and sounds. She's a smart girl and learns fast. She is even learning to ring a bell when she needs to go outside! She is a typical playful young dog who loves to chase balls and play with toys. She is crate and house trained. Holly would be such a great family dog who needs exercise and a solid routine. She does well with kids, because she is young, she is still learning not to be mouthy so will need continued direction with this. She’s house trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on leash, knows her basic commands, and is more than ready to find her forever home — or a foster who can help her while she waits. Her prior foster mom says, “Daisy Ann is a beautiful dog. She’s protective, loyal, and absolutely adores her adult humans. She loves being near them, going on walks, and playing with toys.”At around 4 years old and 79 pounds, Daisy is a happy, bright, and food-motivated girl. She does well with calm dogs but is a bit shy and needs help building confidence — this is where her person comes in. She’s looking for a strong, active leader who will continue the great progress she’s made and show her she’s safe and loved.Daisy isn’t a fan of cats and would do best in a home with respectful kids over 10.
