Story
Apollo is a 5 year old, 24 lb Shiba Inu/Retriever mix. lost his home through no fault of his own. His parents got a divorce and Apollo had to go. Thankfully a good samaritan contacted us for help and now Apollo is enjoying long trail walks with his foster mommy. Apollo is a sweet natured boy, he’s a bit shy at first. He loves going for car rides and adventures. His best friend is a German Shepherd in his foster home and they love to play. Apollo has already mastered sit and knows lay down and look commands. He's also potty trained which is a plus! Apollo does have some prey drive with small critters, so no cats for him. He's been fully vetted which also includes a recent dental. Please complete our adoption application at www.lovebugsrescue.org Adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, microchip, vaccines current, deworming and flea treatment.

Story
Dear Future Adopter, He is a young male Shiba Inu (about 1 year old, neutered) with full vaccines, a registered microchip, and very good health. He is strong, rarely sick, never picky with food, and drinks plenty of water. He is very affectionate, loves people, and never guards food or toys. You can safely take anything from him. He is high‑energy and needs regular walks, play, and mental work. He can be excitable, may jump on people, and is still improving his potty habits, but with patience and training he will do better. He has great potential to be a wonderful companion. Thank you for considering him and giving him a chance!

Story
How this pet arrived: Gretchen was brought in by a community member on July 10, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Gretchen! Don't let the name fool you-this Gretchen isn't trying to spill secrets or make "fetch" happen. She's a sweet, sensitive girl looking for a calm, patient home where she can build trust at her own pace. Gretchen needs a family that understands the importance of letting her come to you-consent-based pets only, please! With time, love, and a little confidence-building, she'll show you just how loyal and loving she can be. Children 6+ must be present for the meet and greet-because in Gretchen's world, trust is earned, not given. So grab your pink (if it's Wednesday), and come meet this quiet little star! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Story
Mr. Peanut Butter is a sweet, 8-year-old pup I adopted from a shelter 6 months ago. He’s incredibly loving, calm, and well-behaved — fully potty trained and a gentle companion who enjoys daily walks and playing with soft chew toys. He knows a few tricks and loves showing them off for treats! Mr. Peanut Butter has had some ongoing digestive issues, including occasional vomiting and diarrhea, and he may have a sensitive stomach or even an ulcer. So far, the episodes don’t follow a clear pattern, and despite testing, the vets haven’t pinpointed an exact cause. He’s still full of love and life, but he’ll likely need a home that can provide continued veterinary support and monitor his health closely. It breaks my heart to rehome him, but I’m no longer able to manage his medical expenses. I’m looking for a kind adopter who can give him the care he deserves — someone who will love him and help him feel safe and comfortable. If you think this person might be you, please reach out!
