Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. Yet again here we are with the call was put out for the need from commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of Omaha. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. But despite where they lived & were going to be used to make money off their backs, they were all the most precious bundles of joy. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. He was one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued Mr Lolly & 23 other baby dolls. Some of the babies we had to hand feed & give fluids too as some were ill from an infection. Mr Lolly was one of the lucky ones. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Mr Lolly how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as he is in his foster home. Mr Lolly & his friends were bought back to WA state where he is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This little man has the hugest personality & at first when he arrived & his foster family would go to pick him up, he would run away & hide & scream when they picked him up. We believe someone would grab him originally & not be kind to him. Now when he sees his foster mum, he gets excited & wants her to pick him up. She has taught him to get kisses now with enthusiasm when he is picked up. When he plays with his foster siblings you can hear him running & playing & talking when chase them now with such joy. He is a funny little guy his foster mum said. He keeps himself busy & loves to play with toys. Mr Lolly though is a sensitive little soul, he got his second round of boosters at the vets & he was not happy nor impressed with getting his shots & was quite sore & sad after them so he is a gentle spirited guy. He is a great eater & not shy about eating. In his current foster home he eats clean. Meaning he eats, fruits, vegetables, grains & proteins & gets supplements. He is also being taught to go potty on maternal potty pads. But now in his current foster home he gets to be with other dogs & he runs & plays with them & loves to lay on them. Mr Lolly lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs & enjoys it. This is Mr Lolly first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. His foster mum said Mr Lolly is oh so very sweet, playful, & such a good boy. He loves his foster family very much. He is your typical lovable puppy who eats, plays, sleeps eats & poops & the cycle continues. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He adores snuggling up with his foster siblings at bed time. His foster mum can always find him snuggled up on big blankets with his friends. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash because he is too young to go out in public on walks as he has not completed his shots. He does not discriminate against breeds & gets anyone to try to play with him. Mr Lolly rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when he went to be sold & when we got him & going home with his foster family & to & from the vets. Then with his new foster family he did amazing in the car with them. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent his first part of his life confined for potential breeding. If you put this boy into a crate, he will scream his head off! We are also looking for a forever home for Mr Lolly where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Mr Lolly is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Mr Lolly has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his foster home & he is currently with other dogs in his foster home & adores other dogs. He absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Mr Lolly is roughly 10 lbs & he is 8 months old & a shih poo. He has put on weight since being in his loving foster home. What he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, & he is microchipped, he is up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Mr Lolly with paying for him from a commercial breeder. Bringing him to WA with his travel/flight costs, his transportation to WA. All of his medical care in WA etc & bringing him to WA then his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Mr Lolly. Mr Lolly has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have him around small children in his foster home & he does amazing but we do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Mr Lolly was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Mr Lolly’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Mr Lolly potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Mr Lolly & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Mr Lolly who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Mr Lolly has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Becky she of been a result of covid being dumped or just not wanted anymore, who knows? How she ended up there we will never know, but what we do know is her death would of been a extremely cruel death but thankfully she was rescued by our wonderful rescuers before anything further could happen to her. The length of time she endured on the streets we can’t even imagine what she went through nor experienced. Thankfully one of the truly dedicated Chinese rescues who are outstanding rescuers rescued the beautiful Becky. This poor girl was so dirty, smelly, filthy & a emaciated & matted mess & that she is unrecognizable to the dog you see today. They took Becky & Hana to their facility & looked after Becky & we could not wait to change her future but covid had hit & the waiting began. Becky was taken to the vets to get her well & healthy. This became a very expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Becky & her friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Our very sweet Becky is now looking for that very magical forever home. Becky was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Becky was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Becky’s foster mum said she is another sweetheart & she & Hana follow her everywhere she goes & is so loyal, what another beauty she is, inside & out. But she is a lot more reserved & a bit more shyer but adores playing. It’s so stinking cute to see these pair laying with each other. We all love her so much to. She is also so easy to love & adore. She is so very patient & enjoys being with people along with dogs. She also enjoys a good treat now she knows what they are & she takes treats like a little lady. She has put on weight instantly since being in the rescue & has adjusted so well to being in the US. She still would need to put on more weight. Becky has done well walking on a harness & leash & done so well with us so far but would still need continued work. Becky is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Becky adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning her eyes, cleaning her ears & grooming her, she loves being touched in general. She jumps at you when she wants or knows you are going to pick her up & she so enjoys being loved when you pick her up. Becky did really well with being bathed considering we don’t know how many times she has been bathed in the short time she has been on this earth. We have had her with many breeds of dogs & in her foster home she was fostered with Hana & they love each other so much & would play & play. She has done well with different size dogs & adores dogs & running & playing with them so that’s why she needs other dog friends in her new home. She is also still learning her puppy manners. We would like both these girls to stay together as they truly love each other. We have had Becky with both men & woman & she adores both. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Becky & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. She is making up for lost time & who could blame her. She adores sleeping in the bed with her foster mum so in forever home she needs a home where she can sleep with her family. Becky has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such a sweetheart of a little lady. She is so good in the car & enjoys a good journey. When we first got her in the US & drove her, she also slept & slept & it appears was making up for lost time. With Becky we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely sweetheart only because of her past. We are also looking for a forever home for Becky where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Becky is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding. Becky has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & in her foster home she is with other dogs & loves playing & snuggling with the dogs & enjoys their company so we are only looking for a home where she can be with another young dog or other playful dogs in the home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Becky’s new forever home. Becky is a female, roughly 13 months old & possibly a poodle havanese mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure. She is now roughly 16.2 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight since coming to the US & being with us in the rescue. Becky is spayed & female, she had a dental/scale & polish along with dental x-rays. She is heart worm negative, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, had her shots including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed twice. We have spent far more on Becky with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, alone bringing her through cargo, without anything else then on top of that paying for her medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish & x-rays, spay, shots, medication for a uti, microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Becky has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats. But it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Becky was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & we do not know Becky’s exact birthday. But it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Becky’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. We will only be accepting applications for Becky who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet girl. How Jam ien survived on the deathly streets of China with his beloved brother Jie & nothing happening to them to this day we will never know. We cannot even begin to imagine what Jam ien witnessed & heard when he was on the streets for almost a week. What we do know is, that Jam ien kept his brother Jie safe & everywhere they went Jie would follow Jam ien & he more than likely kept him safe & alive. What we do know is, Jam ien & his bonded brother Jam ien were rescued off the streets by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the extremely dangerous situation he ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers they rescued Jam ien & many others for us. Without these beloved rescuer’s going & getting Jam ien from, the streets his fate would of been a horrendous death. They transferred Jam ien to their own rescue & covid had hit & the waiting began. Along with Jam ien & many other sweet souls they got well & they waited to come to the US. This became a very extremely expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Jam ien & his friends & brother deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Jam ien is looking for a special family to cherish him & his brother Jie & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Jam ien was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Jam ien was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Lovely little chap Jam ien & his brother Jie have come such a long way since being rescued in China. They have really flourished & gotten so much more confident. It depends upon the person who he tends to like more, wether it is a female or male. The boys were in 2 foster homes & in 1 foster home they loved the foster dad over the foster mum & did everything with the foster dad & loved him & was not interested in the foster mum. Then in their other foster home they preferred the foster mum over the foster dad but still liked the foster dad. We think for Jam ien he needs a home with a backyard as in apartment living with the noises he just don’t do well with the different unknown noises but in a house would be ideal for them. Jam ien has enjoyed eating since he has been here in the US with all the new tasty food he gets but let’s face it, being fed the way we are feeding him is all new to him & just being fed all the time is new to him. He also enjoys a good treat. He has put on weight instantly since being in the rescue. Jam ien loves you once he knows you & trust you & will paw at you to get your attention or to be picked up. He & is brother are very similar but their personalities have changed & flourished since being with us. Jam ien does really well on her harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach him how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. Jam ien is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Jam ien adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Jam ien is so good with being bathed. With Jam ien we had him with many breeds of dogs & he has done well with different size dogs. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Jam ien & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He is making up for lost time & who could blame him. In his new forever home he will more than likely sleep wherever his brother is, they are 2 peas in a pod. But with the right forever home he may want to sleep in the bed with you. Jam ien has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride once he knows & trusts his people. He is such a sweet little guy once he knows & trusts you just like his brother. He just sits back & enjoys the journey. With Jam ien we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only because of his horrendous past. Absolutely no crates for him. He gets very frightened when put into a crate. We are also looking for a forever home for Jam ien where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Miles is now roughly 9 lbs & is 8 years old & a shi tzu & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is neutered & male, he had a dental/scale & polish along with dental x-rays. He 2 teeth removed, 1 molar & 1 premolar. He has a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur. He was treated for dermatitis with antibiotics. He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Miles with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare costs, without anything else then on top of that paying for his medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish, shots, microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Miles has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have have not had Miles with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Miles was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Miles friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Miles potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Miles & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Miles who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Miles has an adoption fee of $795 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
