Snowy at the tiny age of only 4 months of age has truly seen it all. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through and yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Snowy witnessed & heard when he was at slaughterhouse. Snowy ended up in a slaughterhouse with another 20 puppies and we can only assume it was a breeder and they were sold for human consumption and yes you did read that correctly. What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. All 20 souls were rescued with Snowy and he became fast friends & fostered with a mini poodle named Ruby and they are fostered together here. They were an absolute mess and all needed to be hospitalized immediately to save their lives and get them well inside and out. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated and absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Snowy and many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in and getting Snowy out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Snowy and his friends deserves to be loved and cherished and given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Snowy is looking for a special family to cherish him and be patient with him and remember what this beautiful soul has been through and a family that meets all his needs. Snowy was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends and just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Snowy was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen and is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This boy is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet, his tail is always wagging because my oh my has his life changed. He can be found draping himself off the arm of the couch just like a cat and taught himself to climb up onto the couch with his foster siblings. He just wants you to love him and he will love you back. He adores being hugged and held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection apart from his small time in his foster home in China. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a cheeky, big personality in his tiny little shipoo body his foster mum said and so joyous. Snowy adores both of his foster mum & dad & in his original foster home did also. He also comes running if he hears his foster mum start talking and it’s so funny to see him do this. Snowy sleeps in the foot of the bed with his foster siblings all curled up & doesn’t move through the night. He must be able to sleep in bed with his new forever family. He loves to run and play with his foster siblings and must go to a home with another dog in the home. He loves a good outfit and will get ready for you to put one on him. Snowy eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats and supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks and bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Snowy has been taught to walk on harness & leash and has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Snowy is a rescue and will need patience, time & understanding. Snowy adores being pampered and doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general and adores receiving love. Having toys and a warm bed is all new to Snowy except for the short time he was in his first foster home & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love and affection and a loving environment. So far he has started showing interest in toys in his foster home. Snowy has learnt to ride in the car and does well in the car and enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Snowy we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. We are also looking for a forever home for Snowy where someone is home during the day or Snowy can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Snowy is looking for a forever home who will cherish him and love him as he should be loved and be very patient with him and understanding. Snowy has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes and sizes and he is currently with other dogs and enjoys their company in his devoted foster home. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings and loves to be carried around. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Snowy’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Snowy is now roughly 6 lbs & is 6 moths old and possibly a shipoo and what he is mixed with we are not sure? He will be neutered upon his adoption, he is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies and dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2400 on Snowy with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Snowy has been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have had Snowy with small children & he did amazing & loved the little boy in his foster home but we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Snowy was conceived so we do not know who his parents were and it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures and decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Snowy’s friends he will need work on potty training and training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on and commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Snowy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through and what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them and if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training and not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Snowy and going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end and are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on and remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview and a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet and if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Snowy who understands his needs and that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives and please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Snowy has an adoption fee of $925 & is ready for his truly loving forever home and compassion and understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Meet Thumper! Thumper is a loving, kind, and affectionate boy who simply adores people. He loves being close to his humans and has so much love to give. He gets along ok with other dogs, although when he’s craving his person’s attention, he may prefer to have his human all to himself. For that reason, he may be happiest as the only dog in the home. Whoever is lucky enough to make Thumper part of their family will be getting a truly special companion. He is pure love and has so much affection to share. He is still working on his potty training, but with patience, consistency, and time, he’ll get there. Thumper is ready to find his forever person — someone who will love him as much as he loves them We think Thumper will do best in a home with older kids and another dog in the home.  He is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Arthur! My name is Arthur and I am a young, good-natured, and affectionate mixed-breed dog that weighs 65# and I would love to make your acquaintance.  They say I am very popular with the ladies, but buddies are cool too. I like being outside on sunny days, although I consider myself an indoor dog.  I really just prefer to be where my people are.  I am potty-trained and I sleep on my own bed next to my stepsister.  I’ve recently been neutered and I have had my first set of shots and something called a microchip.  I am happy all of the time and I still feel like a puppy a lot of days. I have a lot of energy that I need to manage, but once I get a little tired out, I can settle down and relax like everybody else.  As I get older, it will start to get easier for me. To help me manage it now, I like to be taken on long walks that give me plenty of time to smell the flowers.  A hike is even better! My leash skills are pretty good, but I’m young and I am still working on them.  I still get distracted a little…bit… …was that a Squirrel?!! I am very athletic and I bet I can keep up with any human!  I like to run and jump, and I have a very graceful trot where I just glide along the ground.   It just comes naturally, I guess.  I like playing in the water when the hose comes out, and I can jump very high to try to bite the stream and then chase it all over.  My stepsister just watches, but I think it’s great fun!  I like shaking my stuffed animal toys (but not too hard my foster says) and playing tug-of-war with old towels. I wish the whole world could be my playground! I have been staying with my foster family for about a month now and we have been getting along great! They have a nice big yard for me to run in, my stepsister gives me somebody to annoy, and they are super nice to me. They give me food!   I just think I’m ready to find my forever home now.  Once I do, I will want to stay with my people always.  I think I would like it if I wasn’t the only dog.  I don’t really like being by myself too much and always prefer company.  When I find that, I will be the happiest dog in the world! I’ve been getting a lot of attention in my current home, some structure, and a familiarity to their schedule.   I am very food motivated and it always seems like I’m hungry.  My stepfamily has been teaching me a lot.  Everybody tells me that I’m super smart! Arthur is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Bentley! This adorable 14-pound, 2-year-old boy is a silly, curious little poodle with a big personality—and an even bigger heart. His favorite thing in the whole world? People. He loves meeting new humans, getting attention, and being right in the middle of the fun. He’s playful in every way: he loves romping with people but he’s also perfectly happy entertaining himself with his favorite toys. He’s house trained and potty trained, and he’s a quick learner who responds well to gentle course correction. He enjoys going for walks and exploring the world around him. He can get a little barky when he sees other dogs, but we’re actively working on that and helping him learn better ways to say hello. Kennel time isn’t his favorite, but he settles much more easily when he has something appropriate to chew on. With a little patience and a good chew, he can relax. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, curious companion who wants nothing more than to be loved and included, this sweet boy could be your perfect match.  Bentley is vaccinated, spayed and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
