She will be right there with you.  She already has the basics mastered: House trained  Walks beautifully on a leash  Eats well  Sleeps through the night in her kennel (though she’d happily trade that for a spot in your bed!)  Cookie's personality strikes a great balance between curiosity and calm. She enjoys romping around the yard, chasing squirrels, and going on walks, but she’s just as happy settling into a cozy nap. She currently lives peacefully with her foster’s resident dog, but would also thrive as an only child soaking up all the love and attention. Cookie would do best with a family or individual who are home most of the time. While she is fine while left alone for a couple of hours, it is very clear that she’s the kind of dog who wants to be included in every part of your life. Maria is doing well on housetraining and will use a puppy pad if she is unable to get outside. She loves to be on your lap and would be great with kids who know how to treat small animals. Maria is scheduled to be spay on 6/11/26. She is current on all vaccinations including lepto and rabies and will be ready to go to her forever home once she has recovered from her surgery. He can use the dog door, was very well behaved at his grooming appointment. He enjoys the backyard, but will need secure fencing to keep him from exploring!  He is affectionate and playful, although he may need a little guidance in refreshing his household manners. Sunshine Age 1, 7lbs She came from a hoarder who had about 60 shih tzus on the property. We took in four, two females and two males. She is the friendly of the four we got in and would do best with another dog in the home She will be settling into her foster home and getting medically cleared before adoption but if interested please apply now so we can start on the pre approval process. Applications are needed for all our shih tzus in order to schedule a meet and greet as all are in foster homes Notes from Texas Foster: Pet Experience: great with our 18 lb male terrier and 65 lb female pitbull. Very frisky and playful with Shirley. Would do best in a home withh another dog friend to keep building her confidence. Kid Experience: understandably fearful of our 9 month old baby at first but became more comfortable and curious in the time she was with us. Would probably be able to blossom the most in a home with no kids or kids old enough to give her space, but with time she may be fine in a home with younger kids. **Leash Training: none **House Training: none Other Notes: absolutely terrified of rain/thunder and other dogs barking. She loves chicken and peanut butter and prefers to eat with no one watching.
