Story
Hank is a 3MO sweet, fluffy pup weighing about 10lbs.  We are guessing when he is full grown he will be about 15-25lbs.  Hank and his two siblings were dumped at a shelter in New Mexico.  We were given no history or information on them when they were dumped, so the breeds we have them listed as are just guesses.  They have the cutest short noses but seem to be a little larger than the average Shih Tzu, and a little more lanky.  Hopefully their forever families do breed tests to see what they actually are.  To us they are cute little mutts.   Hank and his siblings are absolutely amazing pups.  They are so happy, social, and loving.  Hank was playing with his siblings and was scratched in the eye.  His eye has healed but he will forever be blind in one eye.  This does not effect him at all, he doesn't even notice!  They get along great with other dogs and the fosters kids.  They absolutely love to snuggle and love to play/romp around the yard.  These pups will need families who are ready for snuggle bugs who also love being active and to explore all Colorado has to offer.  We are unsure about how much they are going to shed since we don't know their breeds, but they seem to have more hair than fur.   If you are interested in adopting Hank or one of his siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2162099##

Story
2 bonded angel babies looking for a new loving home. 1 year old Shitzu girl and 3 year old yorkie boy. They are the love of my life but I recently went through a break up and was left to care for them on my own with a very busy schedule. Looking for someone to be able to give them the time and attention they deserve. They are both very loving and affectionate and would fit best with someone that loves to kiss+ cuddle. Not interested in money, just a great home. I have cages, blankets, and all supplies they need.

Story
Fluffy boy Chofis is ready to relax in his new home! Chofis has had both eyes removed due to medical complications, and now relies on his nose to investigate his new surroundings. Chofis may take some extra time to grow familiar with a new space and would appreciate some extra support during this time of transition. Chofis likes to spend his days napping in his favorite spot and keeps to himself most of the time. Once Chofis is comfortable with you, he may enjoy some gentle pets. When he's feeling less social or doesn't yet trust you, he can object to forward, handsy interactions from people. For his comfort, Chofis is available to families with children over the age of 10. Story
Winston was saved after MONTHS of living on the streets. He has been in foster for a couple weeks and is slowly healing and catching up on sleep and gaining some weight. We think he is 1 to 2 years old but really not sure. He weighs around 10 lbs. He is friendly, incredibly sweet and absolutely loves to cuddle on your lap!. He is a lap dog through and through! Winston lives with big dogs and 2 little dogs and does wonderful with them, except when it comes to sharing mom's lap. Then he wants her all to himself.  He goes outside to go potty but isn't too interested in spending time outdoors. Mostly he just wants back inside to be with his people. If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $450 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2170372##

Story
Relishing another chance at love, 11-year-old Rocky has swiftly settled into his foster home. Surrendered when his original owner entered hospice care, he’s 10 petit pounds of curly-coated cuteness, sweet, easygoing and calm, who makes grumbly noises when he wants attention, and enjoys nothing more than snuggling and cuddling with his foster mom. As relaxed as Rocky is most of the time, he also enjoys going for walks, walking very well on leash, playing with toys, especially squeaky toys, and engaging with his various doggy foster friends of assorted ages and sizes. Motivated by food and love, he knows “come” and “no,” loves lounging and eating in his crate and is almost fully house-trained. Now Rocky is ready to share his golden years with someone in search of a chill and cuddly dog, perhaps with a calm canine companion his size, to complete his training, including his commands, in return for a love like no other.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Making the most of his second chance at life is aptly named 14-week-old Mops. The 11-pound curly coated cutie, so new to the feeling of safety, remains understandably shy yet sweet as he settles into his foster home, growing more confident, paw step by paw step, with each passing day. Not only does Mops get along well with his doggy foster friends, he’s been learning all about the joy of playing with toys, and already has several favorites. Moderately energetic at the moment, he knows no commands, hasn’t gone for walks since he’s not been vaccinated, is never crated and is diligently at work on his house-training. Only just embarking on his new life’s greatest adventure, Mops will thrive in a loving home with another playful puppy already there and patient adopters who will teach him about “all things dog,” complete his training, including his commands, and guide him towards full and happy maturity.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
This affectionate lil pooch is an approximately 11 yr old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, around 25 lbs. He is a sweet dog who loves cuddles, car rides, and just spending time with his person(s). When out on the town, he happily walks by your side and is happy to sit next to you with a huge smile. He seems to have gone deaf in his senior years, and has very few teeth left. However, he gets around great and has lots of love to give you. He has been returned twice with no fault of his own. This little pal does great on a leash, is house trained, and is happy in his crate. He will tolerate sharing his people with cats, but would do best without other dogs. He is located in Denver and waiting for a home to retire in.

These pups are in Boulder, Colorado too!

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Howie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Howie is a gorgeous young guy! Howie is believed to be a Papillon / Cocker Spaniel mix. He is 2 years old and just 15 lbs. Howie was relinquished by his owners Houston TX, when they had to move and couldn't bring him with. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuers in saving Howie. They could see that he's a gorgeous guy (both inside and out) with a temperament so sweet and kind that they couldn't allow him to be in a compromised situation. Farfel's Rescue was contacted with hopes that we could find a forever home for Howie that is filled with love and respect in dog-crazy Colorado. We were thrilled to hear from our Texas rescue partners and were very excited to welcome cutie-pie Howie into Farfel's Rescue. From Howie’s foster: “He is doing so great!! He’s spoiled and he’s a very friendly and loveable guy. He does well with my dog and is the most beautiful boy with his long hair!” We think Howie will do really well with an active and dog-crazy couple or individual that works from a home-based office. He will be thrilled with the companionship and consistency that this type of family provides. Howie is too social to be left alone while his family works full-time outside of the home. With any rescue, moving from a shelter to a foster to an adoptive home can be very confusing. When an adopting family is sensitive to the challenges of change and acclimation for these dog's, the transition is far easier. A home with a very loving and nurturing family that understands that blossoming takes time would be perfect home for this sweet boy. Socialization, pure love and belly rubs is a gift to a dog that is undergoing a life change. Given the time and space, these dogs shine. Farfel's Rescue feels very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training. We therefore aren't willing to adopt out to a home that doesn't choose to offer this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual and in-person trainers in your area. Howie is up to date on his vetting/vaccinations and neutered to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
