Story
Hi, my name is Bruno.  I was living my best life with my family, but they moved and couldn't take me.  Luckily a rescue saved me and sent me to Denver (the very best place for dogs).  You may have seen my picture before I had a haircut.  Haha, I had lots of fur in Texas, but now I have very little in snowy Denver.  Some of those pics make me look like a medium sized dog.  I am not, I am small.   I am genuinely 100% house trained.  Yes, my foster family was excited about this too.  I could sleep anywhere, but I happily sleep in my crate every night.     I am very friendly to people and dogs.  I greet everyone on a walk and absolutely adore other dogs (big and small).  I don't need to live with another dog, I am also very happy on my own.  I LOVE to play.  My favorite games are fetch and tug of war.  There is a video of me playing fetch.  I greatly enjoy walks.  I know I am supposed to be a fussy little dog, but I missed the memo. I love a long hike or walk. I can walk as far as you are willing to go ( I went 7 miles on Thanksgiving)  I have excellent manners on my leash.  I am a young 2 year old with lots of energy.  My foster family thinks I may have some poodle in me as I don't seem to shed.   I do have a magnificent tail.  It is very long and looks like I have a flag at the end.  It is absolutely fabulous.  You will never see another dog with such a great tail.  If you are looking for a small, housetrained, low shed, athletic dog (yes I could be a running buddy), here I am! Bruno MAY be hypoallergenic given his breeds but of course we can never guarantee it. Shaggy is a 3(ish) year old Shih Tzu.  Shaggy ended up in a high kill shelter in Texas a few weeks back.  He was dirty and matted at the time.  It's hard to know if he ever truly had a family of his own, or what his story is, just like so many.  Shaggy has now been in CO for a couple weeks.  He has been groomed, fully vetted, and is ready to find his forever family.   Shaggy is a good boy.  He gets along great with other dogs, does well with kids, and does well with cats.  He is friendly and easy going.  He will need someone who is going to be be willing to get him groomed every few months to keep him looking handsome and adorable.  Shaggy has been through a lot in his short life so far and just wants a fammily of his very own who will love him unconditionally, like he loves them.  If you are interested in adopting Shaggy, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2226465##

Halo is a 4 year old, 20lb Shih Tzu.  Halo was surrendered from his owners becayse she had a lot of dogs and wanted to downsize.  Halo is the cutest little boy who is missing half his jaw, so his little tongue hangs out of his mouth all the time - it might be the cutest thing ever! Halo needs an owner who is looking for a dog with a biiig, sassy personality.  Halo loves to snuggle and hang out with his foster Momma.  He gets along with other dogs and is great on a leash.  He is pretty well trained and listens well.  Halo is also a pretty stubborn little man.  If you are doing something he doesn't like (like giving him medicine or cleaning his years) he will let you know!  For some people this big personality is hilarous and they adore everything about him, but for others his big personality it a little too much.  This is the same with dogs for Halo.  He gets along great with other dogs, but if another dog steps on him, or tried to play with him when he isn't into it, he lets his annoyance known, so another easy going dog who isn't all over him all the time, or have a super dominant, snappy personality would be best for this little man.  Halo is sooo good and sooo deserving of the best forever family.   If you are interested in adopting little Halo, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2234207##

This affectionate lil pooch is an approximately 12 yr old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, around 20 lbs. He is a sweet dog who loves cuddles, car rides, and just spending time with his person(s). When out on the town, he happily walks by your side and is happy to sit next to you with a huge smile. He seems to have gone deaf in his senior years, has partial vision loss, and has very few teeth left. However, he gets around great and has lots of love to give you. He has been returned twice with no fault of his own. This little pal does great on a leash and is house trained. As an older guy, Bruno needs a special adopter who can give him lots of love, a consistent routine, and manage his health in his later years. He may tolerate sharing his people with cats, but would do best without other dogs. He is located in Denver and waiting for a home to retire in.
