Princess Sparkles is an adorable 11-month-old Terrier/Shih Tzu mix looking for a loving forever family. I adopted her at 15 weeks old through a rehoming organization, and she has been a cherished companion. She is house trained, very smart, eager to please, affectionate, playful and full of personality. She gets along wonderfully with children and other dogs and loves walks, fetch, and learning new tricks. Mainly she loves being part of family activities. This is a heartbreaking decision, but after suffering a serious injury a few months ago, I am no longer able to provide the level of exercise that a young dog like Princess Sparkles needs and deserves. She has done absolutely nothing wrong-she is a wonderful dog with so much love to give. My goal is simply to find her a home where she can thrive, be active and receive the attention and companionship she deserves. Serious inquiries only. Finding the right forever home is my highest priority.

Fuji is a gorgeous Shih Tzu, about 8 1/2 years old and 15 pounds. Despite his adorable looks, Fuji has been waiting for his angel for a very long time. He needs a single person, with no other pets, who is extra kind, patient, and compassionate, who truly wants to give a special boy a chance, and doesn't mind when he occasionally misbehaves. For the most part, Fuji is a wonderful boy who loves to hang out with people, receive affection and belly rubs, and go for walks. On a rare occasion, something sets him off and he bites. This has occurred when he was in a home with 2 people, and it's possible that he was being protective of his favorite person, although we cannot know for sure. At the rescue, when with one person, Fuji is friendly, nice, and delightful to be with. He certainly deserves a chance at a happy life, and we believe this is a definite possibility with the right person. It’s just not right that these absolutely wonderful ladies have been at the rescue for many, many years, most of their lives. Sasha and Scarlett are certainly a unique pair, with their awesome, one of a kind looks, matched by their big, fun, personalities. They are very friendly, sweet, happy girls, with lots of energy, who love to be with people. They enjoy cuddly lap time, lots of affection, leash walks, romping on the yard, belly rubs for Scarlett, and a little toy playing for Sasha. They are easy to walk together on leashes, and they get along with other dogs. Sasha (brown and grey, about 11 years old) is the mother of Scarlett (black and white, about 10 years old), both Shih Tzu/Terrier mixes. They are currently somewhat overweight, but should be at proper weight about 14 pounds for Sasha, and 17 pounds for Scarlett. They have been bypassed year after year for our more classic Shih Tzus. It’s hard enough to adopt pairs, especially mixes, but Sasha and Scarlett have a special bond, and we will keep them together for their senior years ahead. Cafe Mocha is a charming and beautiful little girl, who has captured all of our hearts here at the rescue. She is very sweet, friendly and easy going, and just a delight to be with. Cafe Mocha enjoys all the cuddling and affection she receives, and becomes brighter and happier each day. She also enjoys leash walks and she gets along with other dogs. Cafe Mocha is a Shih Tzu, about7 years old and 11 pounds. We are currently treating her for bladder stones, which we discovered upon her arrival. We are attempting to dissolve the stones with a prescription diet and medication. If this is not successful, she will have surgery.
