Roger has come a long ways since his days as a stray in Texas. He will gladly flop over for a belly rub and is learning to trust again. He has come to enjoy the good life, living with air conditioning and long days splashing in his pool. He is not a fan of his crate but will go in with some toys and treats to sweeten the deal. Roger had a rough life on the streets of Texas but with some patience and love he will make a great companion. He is house trained and would do best in a home without small children who might startle the little 15 pound guy!

Hi. I'm Bitzee, a 9 y/o golden/white female shitsu. I'm part of a bonded pair with my 13 y/o chi mix Judah Chase. You see, our owner had to go into hospice care and it broke her heart to give us up. She made the rescue lady promise to adopt us together as we have always lived in the same household and don't know any different. My brother and I get along very well and it is kind of like getting 2 for the price of 1. I am currently about 4 pounds overweight ( currently 14 pounds) but foster Mom is diligently working on that with me. Despite being overweight, I am playful and like to go for walks. I had previously lived in an apartment and hadn't been able to get much exercise because of my owner's health. I had been going potty on potty pads but am now learning to go outside through the doggy door. My brother has already mastered the doggy door and I should soon. I like to go for car rides and am kennel trained. I am able to be kept unkenneled without being destructive and am not a huge barker. I am extremely loyal and like to follow my human around. I am good with children and other small dogs. It is unknown as to how I would do with large dogs or cats since foster mom doesn't have either. So, if you are interested in a bonded pair of small dogs, have your peeps contact my peeps and let's get this love fest started. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Hi - My name is Chloe and I am a new member of the AARF family. I am a Shih Tzu Mix, but because I am brand new to these parts, there's not much more known about me or my personality just yet. If you check back a little later, I'm sure my foster parents will have a lot more information to post about me. If you have any questions, though, feel free to send an email to info@animalalliesrescue.org. or if you just think it's love at first sight, please fill out an adoption application at this site - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org and choose me Chloe!My adoption fee is $150.00. AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we've already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We've been checked by a veterinarian, and we're up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We've been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we've started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about within an hour of Landenberg, PA for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Eloise! Eloise is a 12-year-old, 17 lb, Shih Tzu mix who was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. She was suffering from bad skin infections and really needed some tender loving care. Eloise received a dental and lots of medicated baths to heal her skin. She requires a daily thyroid pill which costs around $2.00 a month. Eloise also has allergies which led to her skin problems. To avoid a recurrence, she takes a daily allergy pill which costs $90 a month. She also needs to be on a prescription diet and 25 lbs of food costs $125. Eloise is fully potty trained and can go outside or use pee pads. She has good vision and hearing and walks well on a leash. Eloise is pleasantly plump and likes to keep her stairs to a minimum. She enjoys other dogs and sleeps quietly at the end of her foster mom’s bed. Eloise doesn’t like to be over-handled so an adult-only or a home with older children would be ideal. Eloise still has some pep in her step and really enjoys walks and playing with squeaky toys. She loves to cuddle and get pets and dreams of a home where she gets lots of attention.
