Story
I'm cute little Sherlock, and I came in to the shelter with my buddy Watson. We REALLY would like to stay together, if possible! I am friendly with other dogs (but a bit nervous around the big ones) and I like people. I am not a big barker, so I could live in an apartment, TH, or condo. I know how to use a peepad, but I will go outside if you take me out! I am not good at walking on a leash, and I am a picky eater - I like my canned food over my kibble. Hey, I'm looking for someone to cater to me (and my buddy). We like sleeping in the big bed with our foster, but we are crate trained! Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Though her world changed overnight, this resilient little girl has remained incredibly loving, friendly, and trusting.     Melody is the definition of mild-mannered. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would likely love having a canine companion. She also appears to be housebroken, which should make for an easy transition to a new home. All Melody needs now is a forever family who will give her the love and stability she deserves.     Apply today and let Melody write the next hopeful chapter of her life — with you. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Major is now searching for a forever home where he can finally relax, feel safe, and be cherished the way he deserves.     Despite losing the home he knew, this mild-mannered little fellow has remained incredibly friendly, and he has an easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and he also appears to be housebroken, which should make things a bit easier when transitioning to a new home.     Unfortunately, Major's resilience continues to be tested as he has to face another challenge — a chronic eye infection that requires the removal of his left eye. After all he’s been through, this brave boy deserves a future filled with comfort, kindness, and love. So why not apply today and give Major the forever home of his dreams! Story
The perfect little companion for someone who wants a loyal shadow by their side. Willie is an 8-year-old, 7.8-lb Shih Tzu with a calm, loving personality and wonderful manners. He’s easy on a leash, great in the car, and perfect in public. Whether it’s errands, a pup cup run, or quietly visiting friends, Willie is happiest simply being near his person. He was found alongside two other little dogs on the side of the road by a man on a motorcycle. They had clearly been surviving outside for quite some time — covered in fleas and buried beneath painfully matted coats. Despite all of that, Willie remains incredibly sweet and trusting. He ignores other dogs and prefers focusing on his humans. Willie is truly the definition of a perfect little old soul dog — calm, affectionate, portable, and ready to spend the rest of his life being loved. If you’re looking for a tiny companion who will happily follow you anywhere, Willie is waiting. Willie is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system.
