Meet the cutest little guy around! He is a compact ball of love and we call him our "Walmart Greeter". Carson's person died a couple of years ago and he is needing a new home. Carson is a happy little guy who loves everyone and gets along great with other dogs. Carson is playful, housebroken, snuggly, likes to play with toys and would love a family to call his own again. This little guy is part Shih Tzu part.... Bassett?? A short, stocky little man for sure. Don't let those little legs fool you though, he likes to run and play with the big dogs. Carson is housebroken, so the hard work is done for you! He is an adult with a lot of life left! Let him snuggle up to you and you can heal his little heart. They are both super affectionate & are irrestable when given positive attention. They are playful and love toys and they REALLY love treats! They are extemely dog- selective and should be in a home that has no other dogs. They are crate trained and will use a pee pad if left inside too long & not taken out to potty. Rosie and Red are best friends but that doesn’t mean they are always lovey-dovey. Nothing to fear! They work it out in a matter of seconds and go right back to being besties. They are two sweet, funny, affectionate and entertaining dogs! Because they are considered "seniors" the adoption fee for both is $300. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Meet Carlton – A Spunky Little Gentleman with a Big Personality! Carlton is a 6-year-old purebred Shih Tzu with the heart and energy of a pup. Weighing in at just 11 pounds and wrapped in a soft cream coat sprinkled with light beige spots, this little guy is as handsome as he is charming.  Carlton has the zest and playful spirit of a much younger dog.. His sweet personality combined with his adorable looks win over everyone he meets.  He’s smart, observant, and full of curiosity about the world around him. Carlton is housebroken, fully vetted, rides well in the car, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He walks on a leash, though he does like to take the lead—something that a confident, experienced owner can easily guide him through with a little patience and consistency. Though crates aren’t exactly his favorite, Carlton will settle down once inside, and we expect he’ll become more comfortable with crate time as he adjusts to his new routine and surroundings. Carlton came to Critter Cavalry Rescue after his previous family, who loved him deeply, could no longer keep up with his grooming and vet care. They made the difficult decision to surrender him in hopes he’d find a home where he could be fully cared for and cherished. We promised them we’d find just that—and we believe it’s out there. Carlton is going to be someone’s little jewel, and we’re so excited for what the future holds for him. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for?
