Buttercup and her sister and brother, Bubbles and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Buttercup has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 7 pounds and is probably full grown now. Buttercup is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Buttercup is a little bossy but plays great with her brother and sister. we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them but would always want to be the boss. She would be fine with older children and we are not sure about cats but the bossy part would be the same at first. Meet Cordova! Cordova is a spunky, confident 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a big personality packed into a small body. He does well with dogs his own size but would thrive best in a home where he’s the biggest dog, as he likes to feel in charge and can be a bit bold with larger pups. Cordova loves toys and is happiest when he’s playing or snuggled up close to his people. At night, he prefers sleeping on the bed with his humans and soaking up all the affection. He does great with children of all ages and would enjoy being part of an active, loving household. Cordova is not a good match for a home with cats, as he likes to chase them. Meet the cutest little guy around! He is a compact ball of love and we call him our "Walmart Greeter". Carson's person died a couple of years ago and he is needing a new home. Carson is a happy little guy who loves everyone and gets along great with other dogs. Carson is playful, housebroken, snuggly, likes to play with toys and would love a family to call his own again. This little guy is part Shih Tzu part.... Bassett?? A short, stocky little man for sure. Don't let those little legs fool you though, he likes to run and play with the big dogs. Carson is housebroken, so the hard work is done for you! He is an adult with a lot of life left! Let him snuggle up to you and you can heal his little heart. Alfred is a 3 year old Shih Tzu with a story that will tug at your heart and a personality that will instantly make you smile. Before rescue, Alfred did not know comfort or care. He was found in horrible condition, painfully matted, and living with a broken jaw that had gone untreated. For who knows how long, this little guy quietly endured pain no dog should ever experience. Somehow, he kept going and held onto his sweet spirit. Fast forward to now and Alfred is healing beautifully and ready for a home of his very own. Despite everything he has been through, Alfred is hands down one of the happiest boys around. His tail is almost always wagging, he adores people, and he is full of love. He gets along well with other dogs, enjoys car rides like a total pro, and his favorite place is snuggled up close to his people. His jaw healed a little crooked, giving him a permanent lopsided smile, and we find it completely endearing. Alfred is proof that a rough past does not define a dog. He is joyful, affectionate, and ready to soak up all the love he missed out on. Adoption fee is $400 and covers neuter, vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. If you are looking for a loyal little companion with a heart of gold and a smile that will melt you daily, Alfred is your guy.
