You know they say GOOD THINGS come in two’s…well this pair of beautiful senior girls are absolutely the definition of that “saying”.  Pulled from a poor home with no running water nor electricity, Hazel and Sassy are at your beck and call.  This perfect little dynamic duo are 10 pounds or less, loving, great on the leash and they are joined for life in a forever bond.  They are the best little girls who are said to be Shih Tzu mixes and Sassy is about 5 years and Hazel is around 9-10 years old.  Sassy is the white and red girl and Hazel is the darker brindle girl with one eye.  They are healthy and completely vetted with bloodwork, all shots done, fecal and giardia test done, microchipped, spayed, heartworm test done and full exam.  They are quiet, house trained and they are the easiest little ladies you will ever meet.  They are NOT runners and they are just looking for a quiet, calm, content home to lay their head for the rest of their life. Figgy aka Figs is a calm, laid back boy who is content with sitting in your lap, laying in bed with you, laying beside you...in other words, being your best friend! He prefers to have you in his sight at all times. Figs is on a strict diet of prescription food (he's a little too fluffy) and his snacks are green beans and English peas. His ideal home would include a fenced in yard where he can meander around the yard at his leisure. The only time he gets in a hurry is when it's mealtime. He loves to bark at squirrels, leaves falling off the trees, bugs, just anything that catches his attention. I have more videos on the rescue website! My name is Pepper. I weigh 7 lbs. (2/16). I am one in a litter of three. We were born around November 15. We are fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Our mom weighed 7 pounds and our dad weighed 10 pounds. They were both family pets with great dispositions. We all have long bodies and short legs. We are not considered hypoallergenic or non-shedding since we are mixed breed puppies. We are well socialized and very loving. We love being held and petted, and we always greet our foster mom at the door with wagging tails and lots of kisses. We love to play with toys and with each other. We do like to chew on fingers and toes so we definitely need some training in this area. We have a medium energy level. We are working on house training. We sleep in a crate every night and we have learned not to potty in our crate. As soon as our crate door is opened every morning we run straight to the door to go outside and potty. We are good with the other dogs and love to play with them. I am the boldest of the three and the first to try anything new. I love to snooze in my foster’s lap! We provide hours of entertainment to our foster mom just watching us play. We are pretty typical puppies - we eat, sleep, play, and then start all over again. We have so much love to give and we are ready to go to our new forever homes! We will not be adopted in to homes with small children because we are so small. We are up-to-date on our puppy shots and we have been dewormed. We have already had a check up by the veterinarian. NAME: Zep BREED: Shih Tzu BIRTHDAY: 2014 WEIGHT: 13lbs ADOPTION FEE: $350   This sweet and happy little fellow was found as a stray in Philly. He was in rough shape- matted all over with a mouth full of mushy teeth, and was understandably nervous in the shelter. However, it didn't take him long to settle in here at GOT, exploring the yard and soliciting head scratches from his foster mom. We got his teeth fixed up and his face trimmed nicely, and now Zep is ready for a family of his own! &#226&#128&#139 Zep gets along well with other animals, and is happy to meet new people. He does well with house training as long as he's given consistent breaks and the weather is nice. He is happy to go for walks or rides in the car, and is quiet and polite in the house. Zep does have some pain in his legs and will need to be on medications for life, but his "swimmy" little gait just gives him more character, and he loves taking his pills. Overall he's just a good boy! Because of his age and size, we are looking for a home for Zep without young children, but young visitors should be just fine as long as they are gentle and polite.
