Story

Looking for a little shadow with a big heart? Meet Oreo, a 3-year-old, 12-pound Shih Tzu mix who is ready to be someone's devoted best friend. Oreo is quiet, laid-back, and incredibly affectionate. He may need a little time to adjust to a new home and routine, but once he settles in, he’ll happily become part of the family. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or spending time with loved ones, Oreo simply wants to be included. He gets along well with other small dogs his size and enjoys their company. Oreo would thrive in a home where he’s involved in everyday family life with people who enjoy having their furry companion by their side. While he loves people, we're looking for a home without young children. A securely fenced yard is a must for Oreo, so he can feel very safe as he navigates his surroundings. Oreo would also enjoy regular leash walks. He is not a dog who should spend long hours in a crate. Having previously spent far too much time confined, Oreo is happiest when he’s with his people. He will need a patient family willing to help him continue learning a consistent potty routine, as he is adjusting to life outside of the crate. Oreo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, had a dental, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm prevention. Oreo’s adoption fee is $375. Out-of-state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're searching for a loving little companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, curl up beside you every evening, and fill your home with unconditional love, Oreo may be the perfect addition to your family. Story

Gigi is a 1-year-old female Shih Tzu who is full of life, love, and puppy energy! This beautiful girl came to us as a stray, so she is still learning what it means to live in a home. She will need a family with patience, consistency, and dedication to help her become the best little companion she can be. Gigi is currently working on her house training and learning the ins and outs of being the perfect houseguest. With the help of her current four-legged housemates, she is making progress and learning every day. She will need a family willing to continue her training and help her succeed. This little girl is FULL OF LOVE! She makes friends easily, adores people, and enjoys the company of other dogs. With her playful personality and abundance of puppy energy, Gigi loves to run, romp, and have fun. A securely fenced yard is important so she has a safe place to burn off that energy and enjoy outdoor playtime. When playtime is over, Gigi is all about the cuddles! She rides well in the car and loves snuggling beside you on the couch and sleeping next to you at night. She wants to be part of the family and share all the love her little heart has to give. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate, playful little companion and are ready to help a young pup continue learning the ropes of home life, Gigi could be your perfect match! This sweet girl has so much potential and will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family willing to give her the love, guidance, and forever home she deserves. GiGi is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on heart worm preventative, and microchipped. GiGi’s adoption fee is $400.00

Story

“Will you PLEASE play ball with me!?” To aply: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO ABIDE BY THE ABOVE REQUEST. Macie is a beautiful nine year old female Shih Tzu that has come into rescue because of unplanned life changes in the environment where she lived her entire life since she was a puppy. Macie is a polite, mindful (well sometimes just a bit bossy), and well trained little girl who is looking for a home where she can settle into the second part of her life journey. She is healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. Macie will do best in a home without young children and other dogs. Beyond that, Macie wants to have a family where she is not alone for more than a few of hours at a time. She is not used to being in a home where she is left alone for longer work shift situations. She is a perfect fit for a “work from home” or retired family member situation. IF you meet the above criteria and you are willing to constantly be fishing her ball out from under the couch, then this is your girl. She will steal your heart the instant you meet her. She’s waiting to train you! If you are interested in adopting, click on the link below and complete an application. https://form.jotform.com/81416621100138

Story

Mustard is a sweet older gentleman who believes life is best enjoyed at a slower pace. This calm little guy is pretty much a professional couch potato—give him a comfy spot to curl up and he’s perfectly content! Mustard is visually impaired and needs daily eye drops for dry eye, but he gets around and enjoys life just fine. He does best with a calm routine and gentle handling, as fast movements can make him nervous. He is good with other dogs, especially when they respect his slower pace and personal space. Mustard is pee-pad trained and will also potty outside when taken out on a leash. He hasn’t quite learned how to let you know when he needs to go outside yet, so his new family will need to keep him on a consistent routine. Mustard isn’t looking for a busy, action-packed life. He’s looking for a soft couch, a peaceful home, and someone who will love and spoil him through his golden years. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story

Prim. That's my now name. Foster mama says it's because the first people's I lived with called me Princess and there are like 2,220,976 other doggies in rescue named that already and she didn't want anybody to be confused about who I am. Also, because I kinda knew my then name already. Close enough. I am a shih tzu puppy. My birthday is March 12th. I am not as "prim" as my new to me name suggests. I'm a girl, sure, but I'm not afraid to get out into nature (the backyard) and find a few stick or A-corns to chew on. Foster mama says the A-corns are for the tree kittens. Something about they hide them for the winters. What's a "winters"? Anyway, I come with a free AAA membership for life. Cause I'm Affectionate, Attentive and Adorable. I give endless kisses and love lap nap time. Car rides are great for those. If you are ready for a shadow, that's me. I'll follow you ANYWHERE! Oh and I'm super polite with other doggies my size. Foster mama says a little too polite sometimes. My perpetual smile is my mostest endearing feature. It's contagious. You already knew that though. Oh and my fur is luxurious and soft. So shiny. I should be in a shampoo commercial. Also, I hardly shed. I love that for me. And you. Note from Foster mama Sarah: -She is microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and spayed. -Good with other dogs of the same size -Loves her toys -Good in the car -Submissive -Affectionate -Crate/house trained Local adoption fee is $400 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story

Sandi is the perfect, sweetest, little cuddler who definitely lets you know that she wants to join you for some leisure time. Her cute little bark will no doubt get your attention every time. She will follow you wherever you go while staying very close to your heels. Great with other dogs likes to hang out with them. Cats are no problem she is sniffingly interested in meeting them. Rough housing is fun, squeaky toys are a little scary, but will chase it when you throw it. Her favorite place at bedtime is sleeping under the covers with her family. She gets comfortable down near your legs and will lick them until her tongue falls off, jk. Getting good at going potty outside through a doggie door but will occasionally pee pad. Good in the car.
