Meet Fred, aka Freddie. Fred is a lovable and friendly young man. Fred is 2 years old and 8 pounds. He is very sociable and would be happy with dog friends as well as children. Presently he has only met kids over seven. He welcomes new friends with wags and a happy face. He loves toys as well as snuggling in a lap or in a comfy bed. Freddie is also content resting in his crate. He gets an A in potty training, and is learning to use the “Poochie Bells” door handle bells to ask to go outside. Freddie is a lovable guy! Fred is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Fred’s adoption fee is $400.00. Chloe is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu with a sweet and gentle soul. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she gets to know you, she’ll happily follow you around and curl up beside you. If you pick her up and invite her into your chair, she’ll gladly spend the whole evening snuggled up by your side. Chloe prefers a fenced yard since she’s not a fan of walking on a leash. She’ll go potty outside as long as you take her out—she’s still learning to let her person know when she needs to go. At night, Chloe is a perfect little angel in her crate—you won’t hear a peep from her! She’s not a barker, even during the day, and enjoys spending her time relaxing and napping in cozy spots. She gets along well with other dogs and just needs a little time to warm up to new people. With patience and love, Chloe will make a calm, loyal, and cuddly companion for someone who appreciates a quiet and easygoing friend. Chloe is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, had a heart worm test, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Chloe’s adoption fee is $350.00. If you are looking for a companion lap dog, look no farther. Introducing Eleanor, she's a 12 lb. 8-year-old Shih Tzu. Eleanor was recently returned to Needy Paws Rescue because her mama had to go into a nursing home and couldn't take Eleanor with her.    Eleanor is a precious  little girl that loves her food, being brushed but not a fan of getting her eyes cleaned or nail trimmed. Eleanor is crate trained housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash.   Eleanor prefers women and tolerates men but shy's away from them she WOULDN'T do good with small children. Eleanor barks at strangers but will warm up if given time Eleanor was a breeder release dog which means she is shy and skittish.   The best home for Eleanor will be a women only home and a small companion dog, a fenced yard unless taken out on a leash to potty. No small children please. Eleanor will be available for adoption after the 3rd of December. Her foster mom will be very choosy as to who adopts Eleanor.   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Eleanor’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
