Meet Koby, a 5 ½-year-old Shih Tzu mix who is a true pint-sized spark plug! This vocal little man knows his worth and is very particular about whom he chooses to spend his valuable time with. While he was a perfect gentleman when introduced to the tiny dog playgroup at the shelter, Koby has made it clear that in a home setting, he prefers to be someone`s one-and-only and the absolute center of attention. He did not appreciate the resident dogs entering his space during a recent foster stay, though he seems indifferent to cats. Because our spicy little guy loves affection strictly on his own terms, he will thrive best in a low-traffic home with adults or kids aged 13 and older. Thankfully, Koby is super cute and can easily get away with the extra sass!During his recent break from the shelter, his foster family reported that Koby is an absolute dream of a houseguest. He travels beautifully in the car and had zero accidents in the home, reliably barking to alert his humans whenever he needed to go outside. If you have a fenced-in yard, he is always down for a fun game of chase, also known as keep-away. Please note that because Koby is currently enjoying life in his foster home, he is not available for same-day meet and greets. Newsflash! Yoda is on a trial adoption ...wish him GOOD LUCK! Yoda is a 7 1/2-year-old Shih Tzu weighing a fluffy 26 lbs. Yoda is on a diet and needs to lose 8 lbs. Yoda is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands (sit, stay, down). Yoda loves Doggy Daycare, and running around all day will help him lose the weight he needs to! He also loves all people!! The Mohawk photo was from a few years ago, his mom really loved him and always had him groomed. Sadly, she had health issues and could no longer get around well and that is when Yoda gained a lot of weight, his mom passed away in April, and poor Yoda was left behind. He was very special to her, and we will make sure Yoda gets a new wonderful home. If you are interested in Yoda, please submit an online application. so we can learn a little about you to make sure Yoda would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process.
