You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on June 5th and arrive on June 6th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 5/10/26 Dog Name: Gracie Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Shih Tzu Mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 10-14 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed Description: Gracie was found and has been cared for by a sweet family! All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. June 9, 2026, 8:16 am

Story
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 6/8/2026 Dog Name: Joey Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Shih Tzu/Terrier Mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 10-15 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: If dogs could be described as “old souls,” Joey would fit the bill perfectly. Calm, gentle, and affectionate, this boy truly doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He’s the kind of dog who is content to lounge nearby, soak up some cuddles, and simply be part of the family. He is fully crate trained and actually enjoys his crate, happily heading in on his own for quiet time or while the family is eating meals. He gets along wonderfully with young children, is great with cats, and does well with other dogs. While he’s friendly with canine companions, he’s more of a “let’s relax together” kind of guy and prefers to avoid rough-and-rowdy play. This low-energy pup isn’t looking for a hiking buddy or running partner. Instead, he’s searching for a family that appreciates a slower pace and plenty of snuggle time. He can manage hopping onto the couch for movie night, but stairs aren’t his favorite. He’s doing great with house training and appears to be housebroken. He is currently living with two other male dogs and has done a little marking, which isn’t uncommon in that situation. One of his most impressive traits is his excellent recall—he stays close and comes when called, making him a dream companion. As an added bonus, he rarely barks, sheds very little, and is incredibly easy to live with. He will need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best.If you’re searching for a sweet, gentle cuddle bug who will bring calm, companionship, and unconditional love to your home, this handsome boy may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Story
Robyn a 3‑year‑old male, 16‑lb Shih Tzu mix with a gentle heart & a sunny soul. Robyn's sweet once he settled in. He needed a quick reminder that he is not the neighborhood guard dog when family first came through the gate, but by the second visit, he handled it like a pro. He learns fast & wants to get it right. This little guy gets along well with the other dogs & did great with the cats too. He’s an easy companion with a calm, respectful energy. Robyn really loves to go outside. His favorite pastime? Sitting outside & sunbathing with his people nearby. He’s a simple, sweet boy who just wants to feel included & loved. 💜Robyn is ready for a family who enjoys a mellow, loyal companion & appreciates a dog who thrives on quiet togetherness.
