Story
Meet George a stunning 4 yr old Lynx Point Siamese. George is very gentle, intelligent, and sweet. He has anxiety which leads him to being timid and skittish. While he enjoys interacting with you (rubbing against legs, getting head/neck pets), he prefers for it to be on his own terms when he seeks out pets. He mainly seeks pets out when you are seated so that he is fully in control of the interaction. He is very polite, carefully walks around items on desks, and is never involved in mischievous cat antics. He is low energy and spends most of the day sleeping on the balcony. If you have been out, he likes to smell your breath when you come home to see what you have been doing. He is usually not very talkative and loves treats.
It will take time and consistency for him to adjust and trust. He needs to be in a calm and peaceful household, without a lot of commotion, noise, other pets, or people coming and going. No children. He would probably prefer someone who is home a lot, to be your one and only pet and to form a strong bond with you doting on him. With time, he may turn into a very clingy cat. We's prefer George to be in a home versus an apartment, so he has plenty of space to explore.
George's current owner loves him to death, however is experiencing some health issues, which is causing George some stress. He loves her very much and can sense something just isn't right. He is very in tune with his people's emotions.
He is litter box perfect and always has been. Currently, he eats Nulo dry food mixed with Hills Prescription Diet Dental Care food to graze on and given a small amount of Weruva wet food daily but does not always eat it.
He has dental disease. He has had teeth removed and requires his teeth to be occasionally brushed, which he easily allows.
He also has herpes, when he is stressed his eyelid(s) may become pink and swell but it goes down within a couple days. He has drops if the swelling persists but hasn't needed them in over a year as the swelling usually subsides within 48 hours, he will sit still for the drops as well. The herpes does not, and will not, cause any other issues other than the visible swelling.
All in all George is the most perfect of cats and would be a great addition to the right home!
George is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his owner in Walnut Creek.

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
