A heartfelt call for a Unicorn adopter! Harmony and his sister Rhyme are still looking for their forever home. This pair had originally been adopted as kittens and returned to us in deplorable condition a year later. We are grateful they were returned and not dumped somewhere and it's taken a while for them to get their health and hair back but they are ready now for their forever homes. Their original short term foster described them as aggressively affectionate! They are spay/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FELV negative and microchipped. Due to past experience they would do best in a dog free (or at least very small dog) home and we think would do well with a child who is pet/cat savvy. Note that they have both had extensive dental surgery but eat wet and dry food like champs! They adore Temptation treats and Churu is a particular favorite! While they don't love adoption events we have been bringing them to some and will happily bring them if you'd like to come meet them at one!

These two handsome boys have beautiful markings and vibrant eyes that just tug at your heart. The tipped ears on them indicate they have been through a TNR program. While this program is great for managing cat populations, it doesn’t necessarily provide the best introduction to humans. While they have been gradually warming up to the idea that people aren’t so bad, naturally, they still have reservations. Once Stefan has warmed up to you, he loves to be pet behind the ears and will reward you with nonstop purrs. Damon will show his trust by coming up to you for treats and wet food, but is still not comfortable with being petted. They are shy at first, but they are familiar with people and enjoy gentle care on their own terms. According to these kittens, a great building block for trust starts with tasty treats and play. Damon and Stefan will let their guard down a bit to play with wand toys or chase springs and toys that you toss for them. Damon prefers wand toys, Stefan LOVES the laser pointer, and they equally love chasing any toy you can toss.    Damon and Stefan have the potential to do well in an indoor home given the right conditions. Although they love cats and get along very well with them, they have a much better chance at warming up to you if they are the only two cats. They wouldn’t make good cats for first time cat owners or families with children. They would do best in a calmer home with adults only that have previous experience working with very shy/feral cats. They are okay with a cat friendly dog. Potential adopters should have a good understanding of cat behavior and the patience to let them trust you at their pace. Stefan is slowly turning into a cuddle bug, however, Damon is still very reserved about being touched and it is difficult to say if he ever will fully warm up to the idea of being petted. Potential adopters for an indoor home must understand that they must fully be committed to gentle and consistent effort.    Damon and Stefan would also do great in a barn, workshop, stable, yard, or rural property where they can have shelter, regular food, and a safe place to settle in. Together they are the perfect little outdoor team ready to add an extra set of paws around your property. Aspen and Alder are one year old bonded brothers. Both are brown striped tabbies and weigh an estimated 12# each. They are slow to adjust to a new place but once they do both are quite affectionate when they want to be. They would do better in a quieter environment, and we do not recommend them for a house with children or dogs.   Aspen is quite talkative and is affectionate to the point that he gets underfoot all the time while demanding pets. He is not a lap kitty generally but loves to sit next to you or close by. He also likes to tuck himself under blankets draped over the couch.   Alder can be more standoffish but demands attention on the regular as well. He doesn't talk but makes up for it with a purr that can be heard from two rooms over. He is more likely to do his own thing or play with his brother.   I believe that they will only get more affectionate with time, but I can only socialize them during the day because I have an old lady kitty that stresses easily and needs time at night without young, rambunctious kitties pestering her. On the other hand, the boys are great at keeping each other entertained and I see no reason why they would not be fine at home on their own for longer stretches of time.   I am happy to let you meet Aspen and Alder in my home, where they show best.
