NOTE:Submit the adoption interest application directly at our HSNB website:https://www.hsnb.org/cat-adoption-applicationWe may not receive anything submitted through PetFinder or Adopt-A-Pet! If you do not receive confirmation from us, email cat-adoptions@hsnb.org . -----Malina is a sweet, affectionate, and socially curious girl who truly enjoys being around people. She'll happily greet you with a soft little meow and often settles nearby, purring contentedly just to share your company. She's not necessarily a "lap cat," but she could be if invited, loves to being close or being held for a while - altho having you in the same room is enough to make her happy. She enjoys gentle petting and will let you know when she's had enough with a soft paw touch or a light, polite nibble - just her way of communicating her boundaries. She thrives with calm respectful interaction.Malina has playful moments, especially in the mornings and evenings. She enjoys batting toys around, chasing them, and even playing a little fetch! She prefers toys over hands and does best with slower, predictable movements, as fast or intense play can startle her - though she recovers quickly. She is litter box trained, curious, and loves to explore. While she doesn't seem drawn to high perches, she's very interested in doors and vertical spaces, so a tall cat tree or climbing structure may become a favorite hangout spot!Malina is medium-to-low energy overall and would be a wonderful companion in a calm home. She appears comfortable around gentle dogs and, even if briefly startled, tends to pause rather than run and re-engage again on her terms. If you're looking for a sweet, social companion who enjoys closeness (without needing constant lap time, but some attention) and communicates clearly and respectfully, Malina may be your perfect match.Adoption fee: $150 Primary Color: Blue Point Secondary Color: Lilac Point Weight: 15.4375 Age: 1yrs 8mths 3wks

Story
Snow and storm are bonded brothers. Love to play together sleep together. They enjoy music and ninja turtles. They respond when called and often communities when they need something. They are very smart and both unique in their own way storm is more optimistic and likes to explore as for his brother snow is my chill and laid back. We are desperately in search for a new home for them as Our family has extenuating circumstances in which we are unable to care for them. They have always been indoors and often times lives looking out the windows and talking to birds and people that walk by. Once they are attached to you they both tend to follow you around everywhere. We are in high hopes to rehoming them to a new loving home.

Story
Please contact Marilyn (marileealong@comcast.net), (925) 788-4397 for more information about this pet. Want to meet? [Fill out the Application], then email it to the contact in this bio. Biscuit is a truly special kitten with an adorable, quirky personality all his own. He’s chatty, playful, and loves romping around with his kitten friends, always ready for a good game or a little adventure. Biscuit has an independent streak and isn’t what you’d call a typical lap kitten, but once he knows and trusts you, he shows affection on his terms in the sweetest ways. Biscuit can be shy with new people and will need a patient, understanding family willing to give him time to feel safe and comfortable. With consistency and love, he continues to blossom and gain confidence. His personality is incredibly endearing — full of charm, curiosity, and character. Biscuit is also an FIP survivor and has successfully completed treatment. He is thriving, doing great, and ready to move forward into his next chapter. His foster mom would be more than happy to answer any questions you have about FIP or the treatment Biscuit received.  If you’re looking for a unique kitten with a big personality and a heart that shines brighter once trust is earned, Biscuit may be the perfect fit for your home. Story
Anastasia is a bout 6 years old and a Snow Shoe Siamese. She is a very sweet girl who was surrendered by her family that came upon hard times. She needs lots of love and reassurance that she is loved. She will do best in a calm quiet home for her to flourish. She will need time for her personality to blossom in her new home as she is unsure of what's going on right now. She loves Churu lickable treats. Kittens are best adopted in pairs to help with Single Kitten Syndrome. It is not a good idea to adopt a kitten in a house with a senior cat. Older cats typically don't like to "baby sit". Here are great links to help you transition with your new Cat/kitten. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/bringing-home-your-new-kitten https://www.meowfoundation.com/resources/new-cat/ Please give your new kitten/cat time to acclimate to your home. It’s called the rule of 3/3/3. The first 3 days your new pet will be unsettled and scared, unsure of what’s going on. About 3 weeks your new pet will start to feel at home and more confident. Within 3 months your new pet will feel safe and secure that he/she has finally found a final forever home. Smooth Transitions A new cat/kitten should be isolated in one room (a bathroom is best so he/she can’t hide under a bed or couch) for 7-10 days. This also allows the cats to become familiar with the sounds and scents of the house. If you have other cat(s) and/or dogs this allows for proper introductions for each other before meeting, which tends to smooth out the first encounter considerably. Make sure you spend lots of quality time with your new cat/kitten during the isolation period so that he/she associates the new smells and sounds of the new cat with positive attention. Eventually, you may introduce the new cat within a carrier to the other cat and judge the response. When the introduction response becomes neutral or calmly interested, a barrier-free meeting may be in order. Trust your read on the mood between the cats. We feed our kittens/cats Kirkland brand cat/kitten food.. Make sure to transition onto the food you will be feeding slowly to help from getting loose stool, continued diarrhea can cause dehydration and can become a medical emergency. PLEASE TAKE THE STEPS NEEDED TO REGISTER YOUR PET’S MICROCHIP We are a 100% volunteer run organization. We are always looking for amazing volunteers.
