Story
Lucy is a beautiful Siamese cat with white and chocolate fur, and gorgeous blue eyes. She's very loving and playful. She is still pretty small, weighing only about 6 pounds. This darling girl gave birth to three kittens while in her foster home and has been a wonderful mama. She watched over and snuggled them, but Lucy would also love to get some attention herself! She is cuddly and loves sitting on or next to her people. Curious and sweet, she chirps when she wants some attention. Lucy has a very playful side as well and would do best in a with a person/people/cats who want to play with her. She has been good with the dogs, cats, and kids that she has met. Lucy is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this kitten is $175, which helps with the cost of routine vet care For more information, please email kbuckner@petconnectrescue.org Cats adopted through PetConnect Rescue must be indoor only, and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue). **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Hi there! We are sisters that our foster has nicknamed “Ebony and Ivory” because we play andsnuggle together in perfect harmony! We love to chase toys and we help with the laundry! While Creampuff is often shy at first, her sister Shadow loves adventure and her energetic play often brings out the same fun play for Creampuff. Shadow is not a fan of adoption fairs and being in a crate so she may sometimes seem cranky. She will try to sound big and tough with her little hisses, but don’t let her fool you. Shadow is bonded with either her momma (“Catnip”) or sister and can be adopted with mom “Catnip” or with her sister Creampuff. Shadow loves to explore and has shown interest in just about everything. She is a sweet and playful kitten who is not afraid of other cats and dogs, and often instigates around of catch the tail or steal your dinner (with our small dog). Shadow and Creampuff will play together until they both tucker out and find a nice spot to snuggle. Shadow will generate a roaring little purr engine to show she loves you. Both will greet you at the door looking for attention unless they are otherwise preoccupied with playtime. Please note that it is Fancy Cats’ policy that kittens have an age-appropriate playmate in the home. We also do not adopt kittens to families with children under six years old without seeing appropriate history/experience with cats. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchip.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Male, DSH, approx 1 years old Aaron is one of the most endearing oddballs you'll ever meet and he'll undoubtedly light up his purrfect forever home. He is your typical playful kitten, but he is also an expert cuddler. When play time is over, Aaron wants nothing more than to be curled up as close as possible to you. He loves snuggling with his human more than anything else, nuzzling up to your neck and curling up on your chest. He gets along fine with other cats, but his first love is his human(s). Swoon. Aaron's joints are a little funky, so he bends and moves in weird ways. Luckily, the vet has determined that no bones are broken and no joints are dislocated -- he was just put together a little haphazardly, which frankly make him that much more adorable. Ultimately, Aaron just has silly little walk and a kink in his tail that will always give you a smile. Given the chance, Aaron will never cease to make you laugh, smile, and cry happy tears. If you think your home is the perfect fit for this little nugget, please apply today! ___________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.

Story
Meet Minion! Don’t let this RBF fool you… this guy is pure love! Which is quite surprising considering the tragic condition in which he was found. He was rescued from the streets of NY after having been hit by a car. His would was too severe to repair and he later had his back leg amputated at the hip. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he was diagnosed with both FIV and FeLV. After healing from that, he had to have the majority of his teeth pulled. But Minion has a fighter’s spirit and none of that has held him back. He is pure energy and a lover. He LOVES to play and run just like any other able bodied cat. He is a curious and outgoing guy who loves his people. He comes with a 100% guarantee to put a smile on your face! Since he is a bit clumsy, he can be a bit messy with the litter box. He requires and oversized box, or better yet, a box in a bathtub (which is his preference). He is also a tad messy when he eats due to his lack of teeth so best to use a heavy feeding and water bowl – ceramic works great – so it stays steady as he pigs out. He would do best in a home with no young children. He gets along fine with calm dogs. He will tolerate other cats (but they must be FeLV+) but prefers to be the center of your devotion. Like all Furever Home cats, Minion is FeLV positive. If you’d like to know more about him, email FureverHomeMD@gmail.com
