Story
DOB 2022 Casper, is not a friendly ghost. His previous owner surrended him when he was headed off to college.. He is a big gorgeous Siamese mix. He is part tiger and may have been an only kitten or teased a lot when he was young. He needs to learn that hands are not toys. He is going to need an experience owner of onery cats. He easily gets over stimulated. His current foster has his number and understands he needs a few play sessions a day to get that energy out of his system and recognizes when he is DONE being petted. Casper has done okay with younger cats at the fosters' house. Although we think Casper would do best as an only pet. He will need a long acclimation period where he has a space just to chill in. A guest room, office or bathroom. Casper does like to play with his feather toys. He does kind of chase a laser light. He likes to be up high. He is food motivated and LOVES churus. We would NOT recommend Casper be adopted to a home with children. If you have experiece with a cat with purrsonality like Casper, fill out an appllication. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
Solomon is a playful and independent 1-year-old who strongly prefers the company of adults. He can be an cuddler at times and enjoys having his human around the house. Our human child, an 8-year-old, is pretty calm and very kind to animals, but Solomon is anxious around him. Despite our best efforts, the stress he seems to feel is not dissipating. We love Solomon dearly but cannot imagine continuing to subject him to unnecessary stress. His previous owners, an older couple with no children in the home, had Solomon’s front paws declawed and he’s been an indoor cat ever since. Their home also had a dog and he reportedly did well as a companion. Our rehoming fee would include his Robot Kitty self cleaning litter box, Petlibro automatic feeder and water fountain with bags/filters/etc. Solomon is healthy, low maintenance, and incredibly intelligent.

Story
Mya has been with us since she was 5 weeks old. She has always been a feisty but goofy girl. We are trying to find a home for her to fit her needs since her current home hasn’t been meeting those. Mya needs a quiet place with no pets or children. She has territorial tendencies and wants nothing but to be the queen of the house where she can rule out the rest of her days. When she is alone, her personality shines. She is a beautiful quirky girl who likes to hunt bugs and observe the household. She loves to nap in the sun and greet you with her high pitched meow when you come home from work. I have loved this cat since she was a tiny baby and have tried everything to make her more comfortable in my home but I just haven’t been able to meet her needs and want nothing but the best for her. Mya is an established patient at Cottage Grove Veterinary Clinic and is on daily fluoxetine to help with anxiety, she needs to be sedated for vet appointments. Rehoming fee is $100 and she will come with dry food, canned food and her litter box. Indoor only.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Rocky is a sweetheart. He's shy at first, but once he trusts you he seeks attention and affection. He enjoys a long nap in a sunbeam, playing with a flirt pole, or toy, and sitting beside you for pets and brushing. He lives with another cat, but prefers to avoid the house pup. He's being cared for by a trusted friend because his owner moved out of state. Indoor only. Rehoming fee is $100   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
