Story
Currently at a Gresham Foster Home. Melody is a a sweet girl with a dominant personality. She adores pets and sitting beside you on the couch and has even started getting on her foster's lap! She also has that sassy Siamese personality and will swat/bat at you when you stop petting her and she wants more, or to tell you NO when she is not in the mood for pets. She seems annoyed by most other cats and is the "fun Police" at her foster's home. We think she would do best as an only cat. When Cat Utopia took her in she had 5 precious newborns, she was an amazing though very protective mother and her babies have grown-up and moved out. This empty nester is ready for a home and family of her own! One that treats her like the QUEEN she is of course! She will repay you with much purrs and leg rubs and lap warming. All adoptions start with an adoption application. The link is on her AdoptAPet profile page.

Story
Pearl has the kind of confidence that makes you wonder if she's secretly been given the blueprints to every house she's ever lived in. New room? New furniture? Different view from the window? She takes a thoughtful look around, chooses a cozy spot, and settles in as though she's been there for years. It's one of her most endearing qualities. While many cats prefer to spend their first few days hiding after a move, Pearl has always adjusted beautifully to new surroundings. She doesn't waste time worrying about change when there are laps to curl up on, birds to supervise from the window, and quiet afternoons to enjoy! You can go watch Pearl at this link here, then come right back to read more! You'll see her regal fluff on full display as she lounges like she owns every piece of furniture she sits on, those unforgettable blue eyes taking in everything around her, and the calm confidence that makes her feel right at home. She isn't interested in stealing the spotlight with wild antics. Pearl's charm is found in the peaceful moments! The content way she relaxes beside her people, the patient window watching, and the quiet companionship that makes a house feel a little more like home! Estimated to be around 13 years old, Pearl is a stunning long-haired cat with a luxurious cream-colored coat, smoky gray markings, an impossibly fluffy tail, and striking blue eyes that seem to tell a story all on their own. As with all rescue animals, her age is our best educated guess! Life with Pearl is wonderfully uncomplicated. She's happiest when she's close to her people, especially if that means claiming a lap for an afternoon nap or keeping you company while you unwind at the end of the day. She's affectionate in that comforting, familiar way that makes it feel like she's always been part of the family. She's not particularly interested in toys or creating excitement for the sake of it. Pearl has discovered that the simple pleasures are the best ones; a warm lap, a soft blanket, a sunny window, and someone she loves nearby! She's also a smart girl with lovely house manners. Pearl is reliably litter box trained and has done very well with grooming over the years. She's become much more accepting of brushing, though she'd still appreciate it if everyone agreed her tummy could remain a brush-free zone. Every cat is allowed one non-negotiable, and Pearl has chosen hers wisely. While being crated isn't something she'd volunteer for, she settles in calmly once she's inside and waits patiently until it's time to come back out! Pearl enjoys the company of other cats and has done well living alongside feline friends. Dogs, however, simply aren't her cup of tea. She's currently living in a home where the resident cats and dog have to remain separated, and despite everyone's best efforts, there have been repeated disagreements whenever they end up together. Because her family loves her so much, they've made the incredibly selfless decision to find her a home where she can finally relax without the stress of sharing her space with a dog. They want Pearl's next chapter to be filled with comfort, peace, and all the quiet moments she enjoys most! When it comes to people, Pearl is most comfortable around women, though she does well living with adults in general. She's perfectly content sharing a home with men too, but she'd rather make the decision about when affection happens. If someone—particularly the man of the house—decides she'd enjoy being picked up, Pearl is usually quick to disagree. She much prefers hopping into your lap because it was her idea. Somehow, that makes being chosen by Pearl feel even more special! Pearl hasn't had the opportunity to spend much time around young children, so we'd recommend thoughtful introductions and a family that understands how to respect a cat's space. She communicates her preferences clearly and appreciates people who listen! Pearl would be happiest in a peaceful home where she can enjoy the comforts she's come to love: a sunny window for neighborhood watch, a cozy lap whenever the mood strikes, and a family who appreciates that companionship doesn't always have to be loud to be meaningful. If you're looking for a cat whose greatest joy is simply sharing life's quieter moments with you, Pearl may already have a spot picked out beside you! Story
Meet Lovell — a bright-eyed little explorer with a heart full of quiet charm and just the right touch of affection. Lovell is about 2 ½ years old, and he’s reached that perfect stage in life where he’s past the wild kitten chaos but still full of curiosity, personality, and playful spirit. The first thing you’ll notice about him is those big, beautiful blue eyes—they’re the kind that stop you in your tracks. They’re expressive, soulful, and always taking in the world around him. Pair that with his soft, adorable little coat, and you’ve got a cat who is truly hard to forget. Lovell is the kind of cat who enjoys life on his own terms—in the best way. He’s independent and confident, happily exploring new rooms, sniffing out every corner, and making himself at home wherever he goes. New environments don’t faze him much; he’s naturally curious and enjoys figuring things out at his own pace. Watching him investigate his surroundings is part of his charm—he’s thoughtful, observant, and just a little bit mischievous in that endearing way cats can be. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/cBfr2i0JyZI?si=NHKg6Qd_G46kri73 But while Lovell values his independence, he also has a very sweet and affectionate side. He enjoys pets and attention, and when he’s in the mood (which is often), he’ll happily soak up your affection. He’s not overly demanding, but he makes it known when he wants love—and it’s always a special moment when he does. He strikes that wonderful balance between being a companion and giving you space, making him a great fit for someone who appreciates a cat with both personality and independence. One of Lovell’s most charming features is his adorable little meow. He’s a talker, and he isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts with you. Whether he’s greeting you, asking for a bit of attention, or simply commenting on his day, his voice is soft, sweet, and completely irresistible. It adds so much character to him and makes interacting with him feel like a real conversation. Lovell is, at his core, just a really good cat. He’s easygoing, adaptable, and full of quiet personality. He doesn’t need constant attention to thrive, but he absolutely enjoys being part of your world. He would do wonderfully in a home where he can be the only pet, and he can explore, relax, and build a bond at his own pace—someone who understands that the best relationships with cats are built on trust and mutual respect. If you’re looking for a companion who is equal parts curious explorer and affectionate friend, Lovell might just be your perfect match. With his striking blue eyes, gentle nature, and lovable personality, he’s ready to find a home where he can truly belong. Come meet Lovell—you’ll understand why he’s so special the moment he looks at you. Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69f21c8f54924247ec002ad5 Questions? Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. Story
Greetings new friends! I'm Abram and I love every human. I was born almost totally blind (I can see light and shadow but I don't know what I'm seeing). My mom and siblings were blind. I'm also fairly deaf. I navigate the world with confidently and will headbutt anything I think is friendly and will pet me.I probably have epilepsy and will have a few big seizures a month. So far in the month I've been with Animal Aid they have not see any seizures. Currently I get a cheap medicine to help with that but if I do get more seizures I may need more medicine for that with regular blood tests to make sure it's not building up in my system too much.  I had a little diarrhea when I first got here so I'm on a special food to help with my digestion. I probably won't need to be on this food forever.I lived with cats and a dog previously and did well. It takes me some time to get used to new animals it seems so I have my own room in the shelter currently. I'm super affectionate and chill and can do most things a cat with vision can do. I don't really like being picked up since it disorients me but I like to cuddle. I will meow to get your attention or if I'm confused about something. My estimated birthdate is 11/1/2024.

Story
We have 2 lovely cats, Moxie (1/2 Siamese) and Mozie (Mozart), who is a grey Tabby cat. We got them from a local shelter when they were kittens and they have lived together ever since. They are both 6 years old and are indoor cats. We would like to keep rehome them together as they are quite bonded. Mozie is independent but very friendly. When she wants extra attention she will let you know with a lot of meows. She loves an aggressive petting on her spine and head.Moxie is the ultimate lap cat and a prolific purrer. Once she is in your lap, she will gladly stay for hours. However, this is because she has "Wobbly cat syndrome," medically known as cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which is a non-painful, non-contagious neurological condition that hampers her coordination and causes her to wobble when she walks. She is otherwise a very happy and healthy cat, and very determined to get around the house like any able-bodied cat. We are sad to have to rehome our two great house cats.

Story
I got Samantha from a shelter back in January! She is a very sweet, loving girl, though new places can take a bit of getting used to for her. She would prefer to be the only cat, but if you do have other cats, she can adjust with a slow, careful introduction because she can be a little hissy and might swat at the other cats. She absolutely loves her food! Because she is currently 18 pounds, she is on a strict weight-loss diet that must be maintained. I feed her 1/2 can of wet food for breakfast, 1/2 can for lunch, and exactly 1/4 cup of dry kibble for dinner. Because she is so food-motivated, she eats very fast; it is best to spread her wet food on a lick mat so she doesn't throw up. I'm guessing she lived on the streets for a long time before the shelter, as she doesn’t really understand toys or know how to play normally. Instead of chasing things, she just kind of wiggles at them in the cutest way! She is a truly wonderful, good girl who loves the occasional belly rub.
