Story
Hi, I'm Phoenix. I'm a super sweet and gentle Flame Point Siamese gentleman. I'm kind of a big chicken in new situations but I love to be petted and I have a great big purr. I'm very spry for my age. I have a skin allergy and need to eat a prescription food. I'm also currently getting some medication to help with my allergy but it could just be temporary. I had a dental with 11 teeth removed in September. I do well with other cats who are calm. I probably wouldn't like a dog. I'm looking for a quiet loving home to spend my golden years. My birthdate is 9/9/2011.

Story
DOB 2022 Casper, is not a friendly ghost. His previous owner surrended him when he was headed off to college.. He is a big gorgeous Siamese mix. He is part tiger and may have been an only kitten or teased a lot when he was young. He needs to learn that hands are not toys. He is going to need an experience owner of onery cats. He easily gets over stimulated. His current foster has his number and understands he needs a few play sessions a day to get that energy out of his system and recognizes when he is DONE being petted. Casper has done okay with younger cats at the fosters' house. Although we think Casper would do best as an only pet. He will need a long acclimation period where he has a space just to chill in. A guest room, office or bathroom. Casper does like to play with his feather toys. He does kind of chase a laser light. He likes to be up high. He is food motivated and LOVES churus. We would NOT recommend Casper be adopted to a home with children. If you have experiece with a cat with purrsonality like Casper, fill out an appllication. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
Hi, my name is Sammy. Me and my brother, Bubba, we could really use your help. You see, our human parents couldn't keep us, so they reached out to Second Chance Companions and they brought us into foster. We are very bonded and really would like to have a home together. That was beyond lucky for me, cuz my foster mom noticed that I wasn't breathing quite right. After a few appointments, I was diagnosed with a a diaphragmatic hernia, which meant that my insides were not all where they were suppose to be. But, I am counting my blessings because they got me the surgery and I am 100% back to my kitten self. So, my brother and I are very energetic 7 month olds, and can keep each other entertained if you have one of those job things. We love to snuggle and are mischievous at times love to play. If you will let us we love to sleep with you at night and be prepared to be waking up with us rubbing on your face. We are good with kids and other cats. We don't have any dog experience, so, it would depend on the age and breed of the dog. Of course, slow introductions are always best. An indoor life would suit us just fine. It's good to stay safe in this crazy world. Make your way to https://sccpets.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to fill an application.December 31, 2024, 6:05 pm
