Story
Ignis (Latin for fire), or Iggy for short, is a flame point Siamese and is between 1-2 years old. We found Iggy as a scrawny friendly street cat that seemed ready to switch to the cozy indoor lifestyle. Iggy has been vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites, and neutered. Iggy has been with us since August of 2025 and has grown to be a chonky cuddle master. He is calm mannered, affectionate, and vocal. Iggy has been living with us and our other 2 cats. Iggy does get along with our other cats pretty well for the most part, but he does pick on our smaller cat sometimes. Iggy does get along amazingly with our rambunctious 4 year old as well and seems to appreciate the extra attention! Iggy has not had any experience with dogs.

Story
DOB 2022 Meet Casper — the handsome, dramatic king of chaos. Casper is the type of cat who will smack you when you walk by simply because he can, knock your belongings off the table while maintaining unbroken eye contact, and gift you with both physical and emotional scars like you’re part of an exclusive loyalty program. His stare alone will have you fetching treats immediately. Resistance is futile. Casper operates on his own terms. He won’t follow you around unless you’re holding a Churu… or a grudge. But when he chooses to plop down on your chest, you will absolutely feel the love. Breathing is optional. Just don’t pet his butt — unless you’re hoping to experience The Slap. This three-year-old walking red flag has come a long way during his year in foster care. He’s gone from “cat from hell” to a guy who actually asks for pets (strictly head-only, please). He now greets visitors at the door like the world’s most unpredictable but charming concierge. Casper needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that spice is a personality trait. We do not recommend a home with children under 12. (Unless you don’t like your kids — in which case, we can talk.) He tolerates other cats but will deliver a swift correction if they invade his personal bubble. Dogs? They’re fine… as long as they Respect The Casper. Those who do will survive. If you’re ready for your next delightfully toxic relationship (with a fantastic reward system), Casper is your guy. Please share — Casper deserves his perfect match. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
Spike was adopted from the Cat Adoption Team in August 2020 after he was removed from his previous home for unsanitary conditions. He spent the first few months hiding, but when he felt safe, he showed of what a love-bug he is. He is always down for lap sitting and snuggles, he just needs it to be on his terms. Hopefully you don't mind getting drooled on a little because it’s part of how he shows his love. He is a sweet and sensitive soul. Spike’s previous life has left its mark. After 5 years, he still runs to hide when I move unexpectedly and he's shy enough that my friends who cat sit have never actually seen him in person. He has never been anything but gentle with my 4-year-old kiddo but also is generally overwhelmed by her energy. Unfortunately, he seems to have some past trauma with other cats and despite our many efforts, Spike still has a strong fear reaction every time he sees our other cat. He would be much happier in a quieter home where he could be an only pet.

Story
Tiger, Lion and Kit are five-year old brothers--all are indoor kitties who are fixed and vaccinated. They love chasing each other and playing together. All 3 kitties walk outside on harnesses and leashes. They are trained to listen to their owner's directions. Each has their own personality. All like both dry and moist food in their diets. It would be great if all 3 could stay together but Tiger and Kit like to be together the most. Kit and Tiger hang out together quite a bit. Kit is quiet, loves people. He also enjoys checking out what's going on in the world from a big window. For more information or to meet them, text or call foster mom, Amal at 714-640-9329

Story
Meet Chiara, she is a 9 years old, spayed female, Siamese. She came in with her housemate Savannah, they had an amazing life, but their owner passed away. They don't appear to be bonded. Chiara is our shy girl, she has angry cat face, but she is incredibly sweet. She has never lived with dogs or children. She would thrive in a quiet home, where she can hang out and seek affection when she is ready, she loved watching the birds in her old home. My adoption fee is $80 *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Cats are avaible to visit Thursday-Saturday 10am-4:30pm. 2. Proof of home ownership must be brought with you, i.e a mortgage statement or property tax or home owners insurance 3. If you are a renter, you must have a letter from your landlord stating you can have a cat, pet policy and or pet agreement are not sufficient. 4. Debit/Credit or cash for adoption
