Story
Hi, I'm Bailey, a loveable, little St. Bernard/Pug mix. My foster mom calls me her little Bug  I enjoy a case of zoomies, chasing my sister all over, and then promptly zonking out prone across my humans.  I do LOVE a good cuddle! I might take a minute to settle, but then I sleep wonderfully in the crate all night. I am still working on potty-training, but I am mostly there and am getting very good at alerting my foster parents when I am ready.  My leash training is a work in progress, but I do enjoy going out and exploring the world... and letting other dogs know that I can be big and tough! (Despite my petite size!) Won't you come meet me? Give me a little bed, a little love... and maybe a super little barrel of brandy for my collar? ##2567495##

Story
Benny is a gentle and mellow puppy. He gets the zoomies for a quick minute a few times a day and then is independent while I am working from home. He is almost 6 months old and is a small-breed Pug/Shepherd mix. He will find a bone or toy to chew on, take a nap, hang out outside to sniff around, or look out the front window to check on the neighborhood. He is a great cuddler on the couch with people and loves to lie on your shoulder or your lap.  He likes to stay close to people and follow me around the house whenever I get up. He is a smart cookie and learned the stairs and the dog door very quickly.  He is still working on potty training and usually has an accident inside if I don’t make enough trips outside to encourage him to use the bathroom. To help, I get him outside right when he wakes up and right after he gets treats or eats. Benny is doing better sleeping in his kennel and not needing to wake up in the middle of the night. Each night, he gets better at not crying when he is in there. The kennel is in the bedroom, so he is close to people.  Benny loves to be held from time to time and will lay his head on your shoulder as a sign of affection. He is doing great walking and is really starting to enjoy getting out to sniff the neighborhood. He excels at meeting new people, including kids, dogs of all sizes, and has no issues with cats.  If you’re looking for a gentle, snuggly, and loyal best friend, Benny is waiting to meet you! ##2567499##

Story
Hi, I'm Brielle, a lovable little scamp with a heart that is almost as big as my huge, soft ears! I love playing with my sister and am fairly respectful to the senior dog in the house.  After a good romp, it's time for a cuddle I can sleep anywhere,  including my foster dad's lap at a brewery. I take a minute to settle into my crate at night, but then I am quiet and peaceful through the night.  I am still working on potty-training, but I am mostly there and am getting very good at alerting my foster parents when I need to go out.  My leash training is a work in progress, but I do enjoy my outside time and exploring the world. I can be a little shy at first, but I will quickly become the best little cuddle-buddy you could ask for! ##2567497##

Story
Hi, I’m Rachel!I’m a sweet Saint Bernard mix with a heart as big as my paws (and trust me, they’re growing fast!). I’m changing and learning more every single day! I’ve really mastered this whole “living inside” thing — I’m no longer scared of the furnace or other funny house sounds, and I don’t hide anymore. Instead, I love hanging out with my people and soaking up attention. Walks have quickly become one of my favorite parts of the day. I’m building my confidence and going a little farther each time, with my leash manners improving daily! I’ve even started exploring Wash Park and have done great meeting other dogs along the way. I’m also still a big fan of the neighbors — everyone deserves a tail wag from me! I’m house trained, working on my crate training, and love nothing more than hearing someone call me a “good girl.” I’m sweet, gentle, and eager to please — the kind of pup who just wants to make her people proud. I can’t wait to keep growing, exploring, and finding my forever family to love. ##2542724##

Story
Meet Strawberry Lemonade!Affectionately called Berries or Bear by her foster family, this big St Bernard girl was found atop a mountain pass above Lukachukai AZ, starving, unable to walk and with five tiny newborn babies. She gave everything she had keep her babes alive and did an amazing job! After her rescue and during the course of rehabilitation, it became apparent that her inability to walk wasn’t just malnutrition and muscle atrophy. We did full body X-rays to make sure nothing was broken and found that she was not broken. Then Berries was seen at CSU neurology where an MRI was completed. There, she was diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This is a congenital disease where the cerebellum is malformed. The cerebellum is responsible for posture, balance, stability and fine motor skills. Bear is sometimes wobbly. She needs assistance on stairs and getting in and out of cars, however, she is a perfectly healthy dog otherwise. She is in no pain. There is no cure and there is no further treatment that can better her condition. The doctors have told us that she will likely live a completely normal life, with exception of some help climbing things, safety around water and things she could fall off of.Our Bear is the biggest sweetheart. She was an amazing mom to her babies and loved all of them fiercely. Her babes have all moved on to other fosters and are available for adoption as well! Berries is the best foster surrogate mom as well. She made two of our more recent foster puppies feel right at home. She loves little baby dogs. She acclimated quickly to our resident dogs and quickly claimed her place in the pack as if she’d been here forever. She loves to go for walks. She loves car rides. She loves adventures. Berries is fully potty trained and she sleeps on her dog bed all through the night. She walks amazing on leash. She is endearingly stubborn and sensitive and sweet. She is the best big girl ever. We think she is about 2 years old. We have loved every minute with her and are so happy to see her healthy and thriving.Bear has a disability but she is not at all unable. She is smart, strong and worthy of all the love in the world. She has survived unimaginable hunger, abandonment, abuse and uncertainty. She will make any adopter so lucky to share life with. If you’d like to meet our sweet girl, please apply at souldog.org.

Story
Babs is an absolute sweetheart at 18 months young. She came in after her owner decided her energy no longer matched his own. She is a pretty active girl that needs someone to continue to work on training with her. Her current foster mama says she is very sweet little tornado 🌪 💜. She weighs in around 110 lbs and still needs to be spayed and have her gastropexy before she is ready to be adopted out. However, she is available to meet. She does have some resource guarding we are working through when it comes to food, and she is still learning how to be polite on a leash.
